Is this rot or how this species looks?


I was gifted this and have never cared for one before. It's not mushy like other plants when they rot. Is this normal? Species is xerographica

    This is how mine kinda looks too and I definitely saw a thread within the last couple weeks asking the same and the consensus seemed to be that this is normal for a xerographica. You can give the middle of the top of the plant a GENTLE tug and as long as it doesn’t pull apart there shouldn’t be any rot there
