You can set it on soil too but yes those are babies

You sure can. I was given two cuttings. Put them in a small jar of water partially and new roots formed in about a week.

Yes! You can put them in water or just stick them in soil and keep damp for a bit. They’ll grow roots almost anywhere. I love spider plants. I have them all over because everytime one falls off I just stick in the dirt somewhere and water it 🙂

Fill a pot with dirt and gently press the offshoots into the dirt and water. You’ll be surprised how quickly they take root and you can cut off the branch between the two

Yep, they root easy. Anyone ever try to stick the plantlets in water and not water the main plant?

Welcome to the “leave a pot of baby spider plants on your friends’ porches and run away” club! I have so many and have run out of friends to give them to…

They get the big fat tubers on their own just hanging there. When I’ve harvested them, and when a nursery with a bunch of spider plants harvested several for me, we’ve waited to get the ones that had substantial tubers coming out of them already, then I stuck them in a little thing where just the bottoms were in water and they started growing their white roots immediately.

Yes you can. I currently have a whole pile of them in a cup of water that have rooted already.
