TODAY’S VIDEO:
Today’s design will be for a North facing bed that is more shade along the house and less shade the further out you go into the bed. The bed is 28’ long and the top portion is 8’ deep and the bottom section is 6’ wide. I hope this design inspires you!
The software I used to create the design is a professional software called Landscape Pro.

  1. Hi Michelle 👋 I love your choices. That will be stunning 😍 Thank you for sharing so many great tips and ideas. Creating curves in pathway with plants is such an awesome idea! Always inspiring, always learning. Thank you Jen 😊

  2. I absolutely love this design! Incorporating many of the ideas in my memory garden. Thank you for sharing your plan in such detail as that makes it easier to not just duplicate but to tweak it to my own gardens. Blessings!

  3. We can buy the proven winners sterile variety in Oregon now at most garden centers. I find that the buddleia have a fragrant but my nose doesn’t care for it. I can’t describe it. But it tickles my nose. But love the colors and sizes available.

  4. Thank you for sharing your design. Yes it makes me very excited even though I’m in zone 10 in central Florida. It’s still not the right time to plant, but I am looking forward to that time again. You do make me very excited to begin.

  5. Greetings from Green Bay! I absolutely love this garden design and I'm sooooo looking forward to visiting your garden center this year 😉

  7. Love you design idea! How do you get your lungwort to survive?? Mine get anialated from slugs+ I love lungwort but I cannot keep up with the slug problem. Any ideas?

  8. Nope, I knew what your window well covering was, lol. I LOVE the Blue Chip Juniper and the little Blue Globe Spruce! I have Baby Joe on order and I’m really wanting a lungwort. Yes, I’m inspired! I’m excited! I can’t wait till you plant this up! Ok, my friend, getting out the paper and pen and starting on my new shade garden! I either have most of my product or it is on order!

  9. Love your designs for your garden I would be so nervous planting the red bud close to the house but I love it also can't wait for spring to come to play in the dirt😂

  10. My north facing bed up against my house gets morning sun but pretty much full shade from noon or 1 pm on. I have to plant things there that do well in shade, like hydrangeas and Japanese maples. I have a wonderful Rising Sun red bud, but put it in full sun since that’s what I saw was recommended. It’s great if your north facing bed gets enough sun for buddleias, etc!

  11. Thank you Michelle, I picked up some helpful ideas because you gave such a good discussion on why you choose each plant.
