A week before Christmas I cut a long cutting (about 12 nodes long- the arrow shows where it was cut) from my big outdoor pothos bushes. Just stuck it in some water and didn’t really expect it to survive as thought it would be too long for propagating- but I really just put it up to look nice on the wall over the Christmas period. Well here we are a month later and it’s survived in water and also growing! So I guess it has succeeded in growing roots despite its original length! What a versatile and hardy plant these are!

  1. I have more pothos in water than I actually have in soil for YEARS they’re all across my kitchen cabinets and now sprawling into the hallway maybe over a decade in water only

Water is honestly so much easier than soil especially for beginners. Mine always thrive in water.

It really looks happy with the new amount of light it gets because the new leaves are way more golden(or white? Not sure about the color haha) than the rest! 😁
