A trickle charger / battery minder is way cheaper overall than replacing batteries on your riding mowers!

I just start mine once every 2 weeks and let it run for 5 minutes. No problems 😂

I try to start mine every few weeks, but I have not been out to the shed to do so for over a month. I’ll probably check and charge as needed, but will wait til warmer to start it up at this point…it’s been too cold for too long…

got that same model but i got the 48″ deck, i heard the previous JD models were trash but then JD just copy pasted everyone elses models and then it was good. So far i love it! saves me 6 hours every week.

  4. My rider sits outside covered all winter. I don’t trickle charge the battery ever. It fires right up every spring.

Got my Z530R sitting on a trickle charger and a belly full of Stabil treated gas. I still go out and start it and let it run for about 10 minutes every 2 weeks or so.

I put ~50 hours a season on it, so in about 2 months I’ll do its yearly maintenance to have it ready for mowing weather.
