Hi! I've no idea why my prayer plant is turning yellow?!
It got over watered (left sitting in it) severely by my partner about two months ago but seemed to be doing okay until now. It's still producing new leaves but I've lost a couple of other leaves not including these ones.
I'm letting it dry out almost fully before it gets watered, it sits on a tray of rocks and water for humidity and is currently set back in the room from a south facing window.

I have a lemon lime, it needs a lot of humidity and I put it in the bathroom when Im taking a shower and keep the door closed for about 40 minutes

Im not familiar with the plant as i dont have it, but i almost always repot them from their “original shipped” pots. They almost always overgrown them

Don’t let it dry out so much – they like to be a bit damp. I killed a couple before I caught on to that.

Whatever happens, it’s not your fault. You could look at these wrong one day and they take it personally lol. Humidity more than likely. I leave my in a pebble tray also have humidifier. I did notice a difference when using tap water vs distilled water as well. It liked distilled better.

This plant loves humidity and if you live in winter climate they might struggle this time of year. I have two of them. One in a terrarium and another in my office and I keep a small diffuser next to it to up the humidity. They are very fussy and they don’t like tap water. Give it distilled water.

These things are so fickle. All I can say is once you find out the spot they like, the water they like, the frequency of watering they like, etc, NEVER CHANGE IT haha. I swear if you move them one inch they start getting mad. I have mine, for example, IN the south facing window after trying several combinations and windows. I use a self watering pot and just refill when it’s empty. I’ve propped it a couple times and replanted in the same pot after it almost killed itself because it was mad at me for some unknown reason. Now it’s beautiful but it took some time to figure out!

  7. I have one that looks just like this, I moved it closer to the bathroom and it’s suddenly growing.

My guess is too much water. Same happened to me. Don’t water if the soil is moist. Place a humid tray next to the pot. Tray with pebbles I say.

I’ve got one in my bathroom that I. Can forget about as it gets a lot of humidity from the shower ect. The one in my bedroom however is looking a little crisp. Need more bathroom space!

no tap water for these. if you cant get rainwater for it then leave tap water out for 8 hours and the chlorine will dissipate from it. low ish light and water when the soil is completely dry. marantas and calatheas will both benefit from this care.

I don’t know what exactly is going on with your plant. But mine is thriving by accident so I’ll tell you what I did. I put it in a rather large bottom feeder/reservoir pot and I keep it filled up pretty much all the time. I live in Texas so I don’t water with tap ever, I use store bought distilled water. I also have it under a full spectrum LED bulb instead of in sunlight. It’s winter and it’s constantly shooting out new leaves, the majority of the plant is new growth at all times. I have to keep moving other plants further and further away from it because it starts to shade them out as it reaches and spreads into the light.

  12. I would check for spider mites. These plants are SUPER prone to spider mites
