I seem to have a severe aphid problem. I’ve tried neem oil and soap once a week for the past month. I even got rid of the plants they seemed to most enjoy (those pics are attached). But they just aren’t going away.

Could I use a bug zapper for them? Or, is it possible to use bug bombs in a greenhouse? Would either be effective?

Note, there are plants that produce fruit in my greenhouse but all are bare at the moment and I don’t anticipate them producing any fruit for several months.

Spray Azamax religiously twice a week and it will fix it.

  2. If you can, try drowning all your plants in your greenhouse. If that’s not possible or doesn’t work, you can try a systemic insecticide. Bioadvanced makes one specifically for fruits and vegetables.

I’ll add: look for ants. If you have ants, they sometimes have a symbiotic relationship with aphids, and will actually farm them. It’s wild. Ant bait can sometimes completely eliminate aphids for me.

I never had luck with neem oil. Aphids die with a simple soapy water spray, or a rubbing alcohol spray, but you need to completely coat the plants and both sides of leaves and repeat every 3-4 days. Weekly schedule isn’t often enough.

I liked lady bugs for aphids as well, but you may need to release 2-3 times over a few weeks.
