A pair of these showed up in my 2 y.o jar. The last time I added plants was 6 months ago, but they only appeared now.
Clearly an insect, based off of the six legs and the three body segments, but what species?

It’s a stonefly larvae

Damselfly??

It would appear to be a stonefly over a damselfly larvae based on the picture, due to the fact that there are two tail-like appendages (‘cerci’).
A damselfly nymph will have 3 “tails” that are in fact gills. A Stonefly nymph should also have very long antennae.
