Fascinating! Having grown up in Indiana (but not on a farm), I'm always interested to watch all that goes into keeping things running and the systems you put in place to make sure things get done as efficiently as you can make them. It's also fun to see you making changes and improvements to your systems, always moving forward and upward.
It's so much fun to watch your beautiful children eagerly pitch in to get things done. I think a good portion of that is that they see you modeling that same work. And you credit them with the intelligence and ability to accomplish the tasks. It's a bit of a shame that so many children grow up with the adults around them assuming they aren't capable of doing important jobs and work that requires concentration and critical thinking. I'm not sure when that was all lost, but it's good to see this respect us still alive and well on farms in our heartland. You are raising your children to be capable, problem-solving adults rather than just oversized children who are crushed under the weight of ordinary decisions and setbacks.
Congratulations on your new water lines! And getting your garlic in and the beds put to sleep for the winter. 🎉🎉
Great job guys and Great Family!😇!😇!😇!😇!😇!😇!👍
Wow…marvel at how much you've accomplished.
This was one of my favorite videos yet! Thank you for sharing!
Great video! Here in Montana we start winter preps as soon as the snow disappears & the weather warms up to 30 degrees! We start our spring saying "Winter is coming!"🤣😂😁 So glad to know the soot buildup in my barn isn't completely due to my laziness. It's the dang chickens!😂😂😂
Perfect garden. God blass you❤❤❤❤
I love those tarps! I use those blue things and they are absolutely horrid. What kind of tarps are they? Where did you buy them? I also am madly in love with the garden hose in the round container hack. That’s genius!!! Best video ever. 😊
If you can do a diagram of where you put the pipes in measurements and death and put it in the dates for your house for when your son I have to dig them out you've done a good job
Jim you are amazing! Along with your lovely wife and children. I can’t believe all you accomplished. Well done. Hope you get some hard earned rest this winter? ❤️❤️🙏🏻🙏🏻Val C
Amazing village life ❤
You got it done and that is what counts.
Well done! That was fun to watch! Every time we start a project in our home, we usuall say.. 'TTT'…Ting tar tid! (Things DO take time,) usually much more time than we had thought when we started the project. Life happens 😉 Be blessed <3
You had a lot of work to do and you did the jobs so well. thanks for taking us with you. God bless.
That’s a lot of work and you all did a great job!!! The children made me smile. I remember my grandsons being so proud and excited to help me. They grew up and turned out to be “city boys” not interested in helping.
God Bless you all!!!!
Watched this twice!
Wow well done you really did achieve alot. Well done to all your children too. Great helpers❤
Thank you for sharing this informative and inspirational video.
What a great video! You all were super busy these last few weeks. Great effort by all. Cheers from Japan 🇨🇦 🇯🇵
I seriously enjoyed watching this much more than I ever thought I would. I really appreciate this video and being able to see all the hard work that goes into getting things prepared before farming. It's good to know that homesteading is not for the faint of heart, but for those willing to put in the hard work and be patient while getting everything set. It is also good to know that the task is not very easy, but it is very rewarding in the end. All of this is a blessing from God. Seeing the children helping out made me smile, because many children in America do not have the experience of knowing where their food is coming from, how it begins, or how it gets to the stores. It was good to see your children having fun while helping out. Thanks for sharing the process with us. God bless!
Seeing your six year old with the loppers made me giggle. Well done young man!,
What an informative and satisfying video. Thank you for all the attention paid to details and sharing your insights.
Great video guys ! LOts of work you got done !
Just recently came across your channel and now have subscribed. Like your videos and now following along. Blessings on your family and your homestead Kiddos!🌻🐛🌿💚🙏💕👵
I've really enjoyed your videos as I want to do something similar soon. One thing I'm keen on trying is using living fencing to divide the rotational grazing area – eliminate the time for fence management. If you start one fence with willow – spaced for your target animals, in 3 years you can double your fenceline. As a bonus the future trimming is additional feed. As its a fenceline, once you reach your preferred height, you can just give it a haircut every year – or your cows will. The current fencing will still need to be used while the trees intertwine and grow tall enough.
Your videos are such a blessing! So many things I’ve learned- and what a wonderful family you all are. I have to say- I love that neither of you are LOUD when speaking. You speak very intelligently, concisely, and use proper English. It’s a joy just to turn one of your videos on and soak in the knowledge. Thank you for sharing! Jim G
Sounds like you took some good advice along the way and made some good choices. I think everyone doing something for the first time feels what you are feeling. Even doing something for the third or fourth time, we think back “gosh, I wish I had done this instead…”. But now you know, and with four little ones to teach in the years ahead, think of all the great advice you can give them just like your Dad gave you! Good job!
Such a great video! Very informative and educational. Love learning and watching your videos!
Where do y’all live?
What an extremely impressive family!! ❤
I love your videos. I love the wisdom you impart that is so relatable and applicable.
Your posts always make my heart smile 😊
It’s truly a meaningful video to me. Thank you!
Awesome Vid
Love your updates!
Boy I’m tired! Everything looks so good. It’s always nice to have the barn in order
In my barn, a cleared floor space means it just gets covered with more stuff to squeeze into the barn. Uggh.
Nice organizing and clean up. A good feeling when all done.
Well done to the both of you and your family!! I really enjoyed watching this video and seeing/hearing about all the work that you put in your farm. May you have a wonderful, restful December 💛
Very engaging and inspiring! All this time planting garlic and I never knew that trick!
I love that composter bin, if ever I find another for sale I will replace mine!
Done is better than perfect!
I accidentally stepped on this channel. It surprised and inspired me at the same time. I actually have 14 acres of land which I attended once in my 30 years of life, I never understood why I feel suffocated in a city life. This is the ultimate guide for me to start what is best. City life sucks , tons of diseases and stress . I am gonna start building my own system. Thank you guys for guiding through a such a beautiful life.
Great job👍
