You are funny!! Love the channel I am using most of your tips!!
I like how closed captions mistakenly called "parthenocarpic" varieties "path in a carpet" . I'm going to call them that from now on.
It was good to see a greenhouse with green algae and moss on the glass ,
The difference between freshly grown cucumbers and grocery store cucumbers is huge. They taste way better. So I want to grow cucumbers now too. But I'm a bit hesitant because of how rainy and windy the Netherlands (especially my area) is. I live in a groundfloor apartment so I don't have a greenhouse, or a lot if space. I used chicken wire up against the fence that seperate my garden from my neighbors' for a lot of climbing plants, but I don't think that would work well for cucumbers since they are much larger and thicker plants.
Maybe a stupid question but… the last couple of years, my seedlings have got to a certain point, about 4-5 inches high, then the leaves have turned yellow, the stems then wilted, and they all keel over and die? I've kept them inside, on a warm window sill, not to bright, regularly watered them (recently from the bottom only) etc etc but still… 5 inches tall all's going well, then leaves go yellow, they wilt, and keel over and die? and not just one plant…. all of them? What is going on? One of the reasons I came to this video, I thought there might be some tips on suicidal shoots?
Absolutely lost it at "What does your milk bring to the yard?" đ I wasn't expecting that amongst so much serious thoughtful advice about cucumbers
I just grew cucumbers and they are so sweet. I have never tasted them so delicious. Always they have had a bland taste or bitter and sometimes hard to chew. Now they are moist, soft and sweet with a very nice crunch. Delicious. I am so happy. My first crop

Eating fruit that produces no seeds is like eating a steak that came from a cow that was cloned, sorry no thanks.
By pruning, are you not preventing the extra that could grow?
Your enthusiasm is infectious! Thanks for the tips here. I've got China Jade and Indian Snake cucumbers taking off in my Summer garden, and can't wait to taste them both.
Can you please link the liquid tomato feed that you are using? Lots of products on the market, probably 90% are garbage. Would be great to know exactly what is working for you. Thank you.
Hi,
After the growing season when the soil of full roots(most pots) will you re-use the soil or get fresh from the ground or a bag ?
Thanks,
I planted cukes from the same seed lot – one outside and one in the greenhouse. The ones from the greenhouse were inedible (very bitter, and never mind the rubbing trick). The one that grew outside produced fruit that looked the same but were sweet and delicious. However, you did give some good tips/explanations. Do you have a remedy for white flies? Most commercial sprays are too strong and tend to damage the leaves.
Very Nice show of how to do….Cucs GG
Thank you for your video. It was very interesting. I am having a cucumber growing issue. Can you give me some advice? https://youtu.be/-64Hxjo_VsE?feature=shared
Sounds good to have guaranteed fruit, but no seeds has the possibility of causing a famine
I keep coming back to these videos for a info – refresher. How awesome your videos are!! Thanks a lot.
Our cucumbers were doing great but then just stopped suddenly?!?
Thanks so much again for your fabulously clear and concise gardening instruction, tips and advice!
Looking at charts the fastest germination is between 75 and 80 F, based on number of seedlings that come up within a certain number of days at said temps.
A lot of vegys, even some colder temp vegys do well between 75 – 77 F. For people who want to control soil temp, I suggest looking at different charts because there are some differences between charts.
Peppers are kind of an outlier because they like a temp in the low – mid 80s.
good work very informative and friendly

What was the purpose of the shaker device you used around the 3:15 mark? And have you done, or would you consider doing, a video going over the basic tools you use in your garden?
I've recently found your channel. Thanks!
