  1. Laura, Love the fact that they’re not finished yet but you’re already thinking of Christmas wreaths to put on them 😂 that’s exactly what I was thinking.
Can’t wait to see everything with Christmas lights on especially all the new trees 🌲 hope Arron ordered plenty of lights 😂

  2. I agree 100% that Saran Wrap sucks!!!! I don’t understand why it was always the go to growing up (in the old days)…LOVE press and seal. I noted the brown growth on your arbs…mine get that too…do you cut it out or let it be? Love the gate. I think the 3’ wide and height of gate post is good with maples. Water feature would be nice (and of course one by your kitchen door and maybe by the front door and anywhere else Greg wants one 😂)

  3. How is cheddar? haven't seen him around much. I actually got a polydactyl kitty girl for a companion for my older cat recently after seeing Russel's paws. She has 3 EXTRA toes, almost looks like two whole feet on each front leg.

  4. OH MY GOODNESS, the opening of the gate was almost more wonderful than listening to the sweet voice of Samantha Grace singing ♥ So So pleased and thrilled for the Le Boutillier family ♥

  5. Your gate is pretty, and I can also envision Christmas wreaths there. One of my neighbors has a package box for deliveries to his house. It is secure, and keeps his packages from getting wet. It’s a good idea for anyone who gets numerous deliveries as you do.

  6. Can you tell us about your automatic gate opener. What brand and model is it? Can you show us what mail delivery box you are using? I’m putting in a 7’ tall 12’ wide aluminum gate. We haven’t decided on the opener yet. The fence and gate are being put up to deter deer. Thanks for any help you can offer.

  7. The gate looks gorgeous and definitely completes the look of the home. I love the idea of a waterfall at the entrance! How magical! Thx for sharing! ❤

  8. Thank you Laura. On a question from the recap video about LOTUS I just learned there is an American Lotus zone 4-9 I think. It produces seeds that are supposed to be real tasty. Also found it can be invasive if it's not tended to annually. The gate is beautiful reminded me of Elvis 's gate. Take care Laura.

  9. Wo the gate ! Can you even believe this is your life ?? 😆 Can you open the gate from inside your house …will there be like a camera and or speaker for visitors who do not have the key card ?

  10. Correct me if I’m remembering wrong, but haven’t you said in the past that dahlias are easy to grow from seed? Why would a person go through the hassle of saving them? Is it just that certain varieties aren’t available?

Unrelated question: if you had termite issues in your area (like we do), what would you use for mulch near your house?

The gates look lovely! What a beautiful addition.

  11. Love the gates. Look forward to seeing entrance planting and plans. Fun to see both cute cats and those cute kids. Heaven on Earth❤❤❤

  12. After seeing the clips of drivers taking out trees and even that camera on the fence line, you should definitely widen the drive at the curve and maybe put in a barrier border, so drivers hit cement blocks instead of your pretty plants. I'm so sorry, that would drive me absolutely crazy. Beautiful gates!

  13. I love the new gates and entrance. The wreaths will be very festive. This will keep the folks out of the property.

  14. I was thinking the same thing however all the delivery drivers gonna get in there it has to be on a phone app that you can open that gate for them

  15. Laura, I have one of those small machines that sucks out all the air and then seal meat or veggies, could I use that to seal and store tubers? Would I still need to add the vermiculite or sulfur?

  16. The plastic wrap did not work for me. They looked really good at first, then they all rotted. Now, I just store them whole with soil on them and they always survive.

  17. The children have all that room to play but they just want to be near mom. Nice. The west side garden would look good with the Urns the North poles and nothing else but a perineal flowering ground cover. You could move the other plants somewhere else. Maybe leave the pink berry bush the pussy willow and the elder berry. Right now it's too busy ragged looking. You have so many gardens to fill it would save a lot of time.

  18. Are you going to dig the Proven Winners dahlias? As small as they are you might try popping them in pots and overwinter them with the chrysanthemum tunnel.

  19. @26:55 I would do huge boulders like Aaron said on the last program in those beds…. Someone not nice may try to wreck a water fountain out there….and you certainly can't be watching the cameras enough…people are jealous (from comments written in) and they just won't let it be…. sorry to say. Beautiful entrance gate❤

  20. Any other storage medium, other than sulphur? I remember my grade 9 science class teacher used sulphur. It triggered an asthma attack.
