  1. Hi Jenny
    Love the gardens
Question…How big is your transformer and where is it located? We have found our lights are dimming near the end of the line, so maybe we need a new transformer
Who is the manufacturer of the lights & do they have website

  2. Love that stonework in the terrace garden. For the wire cloches, can you get a planter with that shape, turn it up side down and pull the cloches over it to help get them back to their original shape?

  3. Patients, understanding & grace are essential now days. Tampa, Fl here. Just got internet back around midnight & still no electric. Survived Milton & need a new roof, fasha, my side & half my back yards are 3 feet deep in broken limbs. Worse experience of my life & this may drive me out I f FL but I'm alive.

  4. Thank you for "Jenny's words of wisdom!!" Well said, and I agree we all need more GRACE for ourselves and others! Have a great weekend!! 😊 😎

  5. Big praises that the chicken coop was unharmed 🙌🕊 Continued prayers for all affected by the storms 🌅🙏🕊 I ordered a Vitex from you and it’s so cute 💚, been planted and doing well 👍

  6. I love that you said a broken stem is not the end of the world. And crispy leaves is ok. Some people expect a perfect plant with no damage at all when they get it online. It’s possible but of course there are times that nobody can control what happens inside the truck and boxes.

  7. My grace to myself is "I can do it next year."
I wanted to transplant some peonies. That hasn't happened yet so, I will focus on cutting back my foliage at this end of season in MN.
You kind of do triage when the season rapidly comes to an end and evaluate what has to be done vs. would like to do.

  8. Thank you for your heartfelt comments. Two friends' homes have suffered severe damage. Both had damage from both hurricanes twice.

  9. MrMaple has a YouTube channel, and I believe they have videos on pruning Japanese maples posted to it. Great customer support though so a phone call or email should get a response.

  10. Love your graceful comments! Your a very wise lady!

You asked about a maple tree your just received, I would suggest if it is an upright tree and not weeping, that it may be leaning over due to it stake be removed for shipping. As it a very young tree the cells may not have lignified (harden) properly due to the stake being to close. Therefore once you have checked it habit just re-stake (if appropriate) leaving some space so the sun can reach the trunk. Young trees need to be exposed to sun for the trunk cells to harden.

You also were looking at an elm with bark damage: I would suggest due to it's location, moving it to a less prime location I think it will survive. With the damage facing north so it is not exposed to the heat of the sun, and planting a new specimen tree in it's spot. I would also suggest waiting to it's full dormant, to increase it's chance of surviving the move. Yes, I am theorizing it is deciduous.

Love watch your channel, even though I am in western Canada.

  11. Your arborvitae will take some time but it will fix itself. You will almost forget that it happened. I have had one run over by a SUV and it fixed itself. The bald spots will be covered like a moustache or a beard. They are just really slow to repair themselves.

  12. Remember folks…..Gift Certificates make great gifts 😉 Especially from Mr Maple and Creekside Nursery which have both had a year for the weather record books😉

  13. Just curious, did your neighbor’s home owners insurance pay for your damage from their tree falling on your property? I wish more people would show the grace that you do.

  14. Yes, Jenny, a great message. My mother also taught me, along with "If you don't have any thing nice to say, etc.", "Treat others as you would like to be treated" . Please have empathy for others. We don't know what is going on in their lives. Give grace.

  15. Love the red maples ❤️🍁❤️, I definitely need to order some from them ,bought gift today from 2 NC business, their stores are destroyed But but their distribution centers were not hurt,we have a local business that is carrying their products
Great job on the terrace garden, you will have beautiful garden to look at when you come in and out your house, the lights are icing on the cake ………..Every night I Pray that i able to give Grace to others and myself……life can change in a blink of an eye 🙏🍂🍁

  16. I am curious. Who's financial responsibily is it when someones trees does damage to your property? Not saying that you are going to ask them to pay for the damage, just wondering whose liability it is in this circumstance.

  17. That seems like a lot of lights for that area not being a patio you'll be using and sitting on at night. Glad you'll be conscious of not leaving lights on all night. It would create a lot of light pollution, which isn't good for nature. You guys have done a great job with all the stone work.

  18. Thank you for providing a nice respite from all the sad news we are hearing lately. I believe in prayer and have included all those involved in our recent violent weather. Everything you are doing at your home is an inspiration to we gardeners in the rest of the country. We just sprayed for army moths as they are on our neighborhood golf course. Love Mr. Maple idea and will be looking at the site. Thanks again and God bless.

  19. The new terraced garden is gorgeous. What an investment in hard scape and plant life. An enormous change that will just mature beautifully. So impressive. Hopefully, the spring is calm and everything will have a chance to show off their beauty.

  20. “That sounds good” your so funny Kenny and you done even try to be. TY for teaching and preaching grace in gardening we enjoy how ez going your vids are and how transparent you are about wins and losses
