love, love, love all those plants – but wow- those rocks – what a beautiful statement they make !!! well done
You're going to be surprised by just how enormous the Russian sage gets! It's going to swallow everything else in that area. Lol! 😆
Love the cedar! I fear that my zone is too hot for one like it. You might consider creating some areas where the soil level is not perfectly flat – adds interest! I had the trees in my backyard planted higher too, both for drainage and looks more interesting.
The weeping atlas cedar has so much personality, it’s already a star! ⭐️ I’m impressed with your new camera’s video quality. Crystal clear and capturing the smallest of details. Very nice! 👏🇨🇦
THE NEW VIDEO EQUIPMENT IS GREAT!
Omg my dream plant ❤a weeping blue atlas serpentine!! I cannot wait to see how it does in our zone!
I like the new audio sound very much. I love the cedar tree, not sure about the rocks, but I always wait to see the finished thing. I got some shasta daisies seeds because you made me love them
I know your garden is in process I think you need a few more statues
❤
Oh boy… a whole new area to plant in! how fun! I love it so far and love the atlas tree. just beautiful! and I love rocks around things plants. I think rocks just finish it all off some times. looking good! thanks for sharing! Genie : )
Wow, such beautiful progress in just one year. You two must be so pleased with all that you have accomplished.
Beautiful tree❤️ what kind and where do you get your compost?
Love your channel 🙏🏼💖💐
I am one and done too, because I rent so I have a limit on the amount of plants that I keep. I do a lot of annuals and those I start from seed. I have fun!
Loving the tree! I agree with others on the rocks. They look a little too close and would love to see them partially buried so they would look more natural, also fear the one on it's side may fall if Monty were to bump into it. Great progress though, and property is looking gorgeous!
Everything is looking so good! I like rocks too. They are are not natural in my area but do like to use them in a garden setting. Rather than sink them in the ground maybe add more layers of mulch and grow a ground cover sedum next to them would be easier for now. By the time you planted the tree, I'm sure you two were worn out 😮. Love your channel!
It is fun to watch the center island become the design of Michael Glassman's and your planting choices. Just beautiful
The cedar planting is absolutely beautiful!!
Love what you have accomplished. Your video brightened my day as we are patiently waiting for the power to be restored and life to get back to normal here in SC after Helene. We have been truly fortunate to have a our health, our home, good friends, and a generator to use for portions of the day. As far as the perennial planting, I would suggest alternating the pattern so that it is a subtle invitation down the path.
Where did you get the dolly???
Hey Janey
Annie’s Annuals unfortunately closed their doors for good, Shocking.
In the past I always bought one plant of a variety. I learned from you, that buying a few of the same plant creates more of a statement. While I do like the more wild look, I can also see how groupings of the same plant can look amazing. I am just not sure those large purple grasses look good in front of your home. They are a bit too large (to me).
Hi Janey, I have a problem with repeating flowers and shrubs mostly because they are so expensive and I can't aford buying 10, 20 or what ever I need. In a perfet world I would definitely do this but the world is not perfect and I am not either! Good job! Blessings! I love big rocks but I don't know!
Ehhh plant however you want, doesn't need to match
I have a weeping atlas in my front yard and absolutely love it!
You may already know but I just an email stating Annie’s Annuals is closed for good beginning 10/3. I watched your video of your field trip there a while ago. So thought you might want to know. Hope someone else is able to continue this great nursery
30 years later my cedar now looks like a dinosaur , but I love it
looks great and love the rock placement!
I miss your coffee chats with you and Jason answering questions.
❤
Plant the perennials where you have set them and then repeat the same plants for a third grouping further down across the dry creek bed that you plan to install
