  1. 11:58, the no root zone is where the container had been facing the SUN and the HEAT has cooked the roots in that area, I find it's a good starting point to begin tickling the roots apart on all rootbound container plants.

  2. In the dirtlands where you have that gator wide path between the new planting beds, that would be an excellent place for a very large arch with some kind of weeping evergreen.

  3. Will you grow something at the base of those trees so that it’s green at the bottom as well or will the tree naturally start growing up and down the arbor?

Maybe the massive ones could go out into the dirt lands where you’re going for more wild look.

  4. Your planting and pruning of the apple arbor was very instructive and pleasant to watch. It was so hard for me to visualize the method until you showed the result. You are such an accomplished gardner. And it shows how much energy is spent in doing this specialized technique.

  5. I think I'm in your camp, roses are pretty, but I would either like them mixed in or not at all. I don't own one right now, in my small garden. Apple arbor will be cool!

  6. I love the idea of a fruit arch! Do you think it could be done with a peach tree? I’m a Georgia Peach😆

  7. enjoyed the video, love roses, it's going to be nice to see where they will be placed. it's going to be beautiful. thanks for sharing with us!

  8. I thought you mentioned that it is not worth having apple trees because one, they need frequent spraying, and two, there are many apple orchards in your area. Did I misunderstood that?

  9. I would stake that arbor with the fruit trees – I use T posts and ties. One good gust of wind could blow that whole thing over – don't ask me how I know.

  10. Don't keep the one that is iron difficient. It can take down other roses and plants over time with fungus, aphids, etc. Just buy another one next year and try again with a healthy plant. Please consider. It will save you a heartache and disappointment later, I promise.❤❤❤

  11. Will the branches eventually extend beyond the arbor, or will you prune them so they won’t be sticking out over the grass? If they can be size-controlled that way, I would love to try this somewhere in my yard!

  12. Love the arch and the changes coming for garden! 💚💐 A question about roses: have you ever had to deal with rose rosette disease? I had to pull a couple of mine this year, and I’m not sure how to prevent it in the future!

  13. Love the apple tree arbor. Look forward to watching it grow and cover the arbor overhead. I like the idea of planting some of those larger roses out in the dirt lands and just letting them grow.

  14. Well, here I am wandering around my yard trying to figure out where I can put in an apple arbor, lol.

  15. You said that each quadrant of the cut flower gardens will have an entrance on each side. I would take some of those "climbing/partial climbing" roses and put them on an arbor as an entrance somewhere there. They are gorgeous. So many pretty roses. Love that apple arbor!

  16. Thank you for taking us along with your days! I get so inspired by all you do and I have a new love for the garden because of you and Aaron! Keep up the good work! 🪴 🌺 🌲

  17. In the Walled Garden I volunteer in we use similar soft tie but without the wire inside. It is more gentle on the plants. And it ties together very well.

  18. You're not nuts! Lol Arbors are magical, I love them too. I was hopping to see how the Ebb Tide rose did for you, I've been wanting one of those.

  19. Love love love the apple arbor. Espalier fruit trees are so expensive, but this is an option I can definitely try. Thanks for the inspiration.

  20. A great tip I learned from a gardener is to use pencil to write on your garden tags because it will weather very well. I dubiously followed the advice and it didn’t disappoint! I live in Southern Alberta and I’ve found tags from previous years in the garden where you can still read the writing in pencil!

  21. i don't like a rose garden because one takes away from the beauty of another. i prefer to just come across them in the garden . to me it makes it more special.

  22. My grandma had step over apples all around her allotment it was amazing lots of fruit and only 2 foot from ground

  23. I was privileged to visit Bunny Mellon’s estate in Upperville , Virginia and Parterre garden was bordered by small 2 foot high espalier apple trees and also a very long espalier apple tunnel .
    The most amazing garden .

  24. Christianson’s Nursery is my favorite place to find plants. They have many unique displays and the most gorgeous and healthy plants. They are located near Mount Vernon, Washington in Northwestern Washington.

  25. Just loving that arch with the apple trees. Question? Where did you get that arch? So many beautiful roses. Can't wait to see what that space becomes. 🙂
