Reuploaded because of a glaring omission in the original video–I added an extra section into this version. Thanks to user ds83 for reminding me!

Part 2 on Seaman for PC (SeaMail) & i-mode Mobile: https://youtu.be/SKCl4bDRnUE

Seaman is one of the most beloved Dreamcast games, admired and remembered for its innovation, originality and just how much of a jerk the titular fishguy tended to be. In North America, the tale of Seaman began and ended with the 2000 Dreamcast release, but in Japan, it’s a completely different story, with many more Seaman titles on the Dreamcast, Windows PC, mobile phones and the PlayStation 2, including a true Sequel, Seaman 2. This is part one of a larger look at all the wonderful Seaman goodness that never left Japanese shores. Keep an eye out for part two, as well as the entire video combining all parts in the future.

  1. Part 2 on the PC & Mobile coming soon!
If you're seeing this and are thinking "didn't I already watch this," you did–kind of. I took down my previous upload because a viewer (ds83) reminded me of the existence of another rare Seaman title on the Dreamcast that I completely forgot about. I want this standalone video and the final big video to be as definitive as possible, so I added in a section near the end. I'm sorry to lose all the comments on the original video, and apologies for any confusion, I hope you'll still watch this again regardless so it tells YouTube to share my video for a change. Thanks for watching, Seaman buddies.

  2. Finally enough, I've been playing Seaman just because of the Dreamcast's US launch anniversary. Although because I don't have the game and my dreamcast hooked up right now. I'm just using the Flycast emulator and it works with my PC's microphone, so I'm happy. And what I find interesting is that the First game was localized into English by jellyvision Games. If you don't know that name, you might know them nowadays as jackbox games.

  3. I see Seaman and i remember the voice of Francis York Morgan. And then i wish the sequel of Deadly Premonition were a better game…

  4. I was so completely captured by this game when it first came out. I would try to explain it to my family and friends, but they looked at me like I arrived from some other planet.

  5. In 2003 I created an eBay account (which I still have!) just to buy an import from America of this game.

    It was wild

  6. This video deserves so many more views. It’s so good and also contains info that is very hard to come by anywhere else.

  7. Never knew there were multiple Seaman games, fascinating! The Christmas one especially is such a cool piece of software sadly lost due to time
