Laura, you don’t have to worry about your pots cracking from freezing temperatures when they have plants in them?
May want to look up holly fern
Could add green highlight beside chicken coop in long winter 24" wide, 18" tall.
Can be extra protection from wind for plexiglass on the chicken run..near climbing roses.
Holly fern includes Cyrtomium fortune, China ruffles grows in SW China mountain area
evergreen handles shade zone 6-9
region is home to giant pandas & yum spicy recipes, Sichuan
Oh Douglas being up in the Gator framed by the flowers is the cutest picture! He is so beautiful! He reminds me of my cat Skee! He was a main coon.. wondering if Douglas is also! He looks like one!
Do you have deer? I have a huge problem. I'm in 5b. Washington state. Any suggestions? They eat everything!
Love this!
Thank you for spurring me on to touching up the one foot of white paint on my porch ceiling I've been ignoring all summer. ☺ I'll put it on my to do list for today!
That area is just so sweet! I love hydrangeas and those are gorgeous! Great swap out.
Can we ever see Bethany’s garden?
The chicken coop area looks so beautiful! Where do you get your drip tubing from?
Oh Laura this pot looks so lovely all together. Wonderful Job!!!!!!! Gorgeous potatoes 🥔.
Am I the only one who saw that potato and thought that Laura has to give it to her dad! 😆😂
Love hydrangeas, can you tell me what size pot that is?

Love what you did in the chicken coop bed and loved seeing your potato harvest 🤩
Potato for Dad❤😂
Can you talk about your root cellar? How do you go about installing something like that?
I miss when you weighed your potatoes and other harvests. I know it was a lot of work but fun for this enquiring mind 😊
Ha ha CoHost Douglas showing the hydrangeas 😂😂😂😂
🌿🌸 Laura I am so enjoying catching up with you through your videos this morning, & yesterday on YouTube too. Thinking of you & want to say thank you for sharing your life with everyone…You are so special. Take care of yourself though too. God bless you & those you love. 💐❤
You mention Bethany's garden so often that I, for one, would like to see it.
❤
Do the chickens get spider mites?
Can you please tell me the name of the tall blue spruce that is in the chicken coop area where you put the new Hydrangeas. I think that would fit perfect in one of my planters. Thx.
I love 2025 Supertunia Tiara Blue petunias in the chicken coop window box. That's the look I want next year in my garden! Do you recall how many you planted in the window box? Working around the chicken coop brought back memories of your building the chicken run, dreams of climbing roses covering it, and planting a cottage garden with a tree for eventual shade which you've achieved! I'm sure Bethany will love the peach colored roses and we'll love watching the smooth hydrangeas come into their own.
Really good move to put hydrangeas there. They are going to love it.
Just curious, do you guys separate the "new potatoes" to eat first and how do you prepare them? Lots of ways, I know. What's your fave?
I can’t get over how you don’t wear gloves !!!
Especially when pruning rose bushes 😮
Your hands must be like leather 🤪🤪🤪
Oh Laura great choice in putting the hydrangeas next to the chicken coop much better as with the pot
I have been cutting back my plants and cleaning stuff up. Between the spider mites, aphids, and the long hot spell we had everything is looking very tired and sad 😢
Wish I had room for a potato patch!!!!
Laughing because if you are really a zone 7 then Lemon Coral Sedum should make it through the winter – LOL!
I'm going to try it as we've been bumped to zone 8 but we had a week of deep freeze last year so who knows?!!
You are so sweet to re-home stuff but I wish you would keep at least one of each of your roses to add to your collection. Also you can see how it does in another location.
Laura, just need a cute little door mat in front of the chicken coop door! beautiful!
Hi Laura! Coop area looks great, love the color combo you planted today!! Since i see you are moving some roses i have a question for you abour that. I have a really big knockout rose that i am anxious to move because it has outgrown its spot but right now it still has blooms on it. Is it ok to cut back and relocate now, or should i wait untill it has finished blooming? In zone 7b btw. Thank you!!
Love those hydrangeas there. U r right it needed some pink. Beautiful color. Good haul on those Potatoes…that huge one…Wow!
The chicken coop garden has always been one of my favorites, I think because it's cottagey?? It's just cute!
can the hydrangea stay in the pot all winter and live year after year?
☮️🌎🌲
Those hydrangeas are beautiful.
You need to take that potato and put it on your dad's desk.
I think a heliopsis variety would look even better than the daylilies in front of the window! 😍 I think they bloom for longer and their foliage is more appealing for more of the season and you’d still get the yellow/pink/purple vibe you enjoy.
That’s always a danger …..” I have an idea”!
There’s so many comments, I doubt Laura has time to read them. Does anyone know if her other orange cat is around? I see Thomas and then I think there’s Cheddar and Russell??
Love the chicken coup area. Those potatoes are amazing. You sure grow beautiful things on your land. You must lay at night tired but so satisfied
❤❤❤❤
Good work again, Very pretty,
