My husband & I bought our first house earlier this year. This is what's grown in our garden. So many little flowers and what nots. I hope to learn their names next year but this year has been busy with unpacking & adapting to change.

I have a few of my own plants in pots and around the yard I planted but I didn't bother including photos because the highlight is the work of the previous owners!! πŸ•ŠοΈ

I'm not much of a gardener so I've got lots of studying to do: learning to weed, prune, and the general maintenance + upkeep of their work. I've been thinking of removing some hostas because there's a lot more than I photographed. Lots of things to day dream about this winter ❄️ My dream garden is full of vegetables & yummy goodness but it's been nice to appreciate beautiful flowers this year.

What a pristine garden. You are very lucky indeed. The bragging is well-deserved!

I have a relative that divided the perennials that came with the house every few years. Just a few pieces on the sides and front of the house. Not regularly either.

After 11 years in the home she decided she wanted to put in some veggies so she dug up a bunch and sold them on Facebook marketplace for like $1-$5 a piece. Made more than $1200. What’s left is still 3x what the house came with.

Really drives home that rice and chessboard legend.

Oh I’m so jealous. I need a garden as pretty as that one.

wow this is awesome, you really lucked out. All you really need to do is water and feed. I hope whoever eventually moves to my house appreciates the 1000’s of $$, I’ve put into it!

Those purple bell shaped flowers on the bottom left hand corner are not something you want. That is creeping bellflower.

This looks exactly like that one house in Newport News with the citrus tree up front
