Our gardens are on their way out, but there is still bounty to be found.

Here’s the information about the page who has stolen my identity and videos.

Someone has created a fake Celebrating Appalachia page and is scraping all our videos and then uploading them to that page. They are violating Facebook’s rules and guidelines as well as violating copyright laws.

I reported them to Facebook, but everything I’ve read says Facebook pays more attention if multiple reports are submitted about a fraudulent page. If you are on Facebook and have time to report the page we would greatly appreciate it.

The page can be found here: https://www.facebook.com/people/Celebrating-Appalachia/61564284239019/
Near the top of the page on the right you’ll see 3 small dots. Click on them and a drop down menu appears.

Choose Report page, then choose Scam, fraud or impersonation (or it may say Scam, fraud or false information), then choose what you feel fits best. On my device it is Fraud or scam on Corie’s impersonation is a choice so she chose it and then she chose fake profile. The last step is submitting your report.

One of the pitfalls of having an online business is the constant barrage of people trying to use your likeness to scam others.

We appreciate all you do for us!!

  1. I reported, and added a "this is a fraud" comment to the two posts I found on their page. Hope and pray the page is shut down and this is resolved for you soon. <3

  2. Yeah it happens. Peoples accounts in FB too and the worst thing the slander, abuse that goes on there its retarded how people have made it their life. I feel like ive lost a ome brain cells everytime i hear arguments over "being blocked" please save your brain dont fall into such stupidity. Our leaders shouldnt allow it either if they cated about society and their people they wouldnt.

  3. I have a question…..do paw paw bushes grow near you? When I was a little girl I remember paw paws grew near where we lived. So many folks don’t know what I’m talking about.

  4. Enjoyed your September Garden special . Glad it did so well but its been hot and dry all over . Hope Matt got his fill of friend green tomatoes . Good show .

  5. I went to the page you linked that was stealing your content, all post and video were gone. So evidently y'all have took care of the issue. Enjoy your content very much.

  6. I am SO jealous of your soil! In NW Fl all we have is sand and roots! I grew up in Oklahoma, and we had great fertile soil….i loved it.

  7. Tipper you need to apply for your Verisication Check Mark. When you are Verified they will give you a Check Mark by your Name, So people know for sure it's you.

  8. I am so sorry to hear this! I eschew F'book, else I'd be reporting, but I hope you get some swift & effective response from them.

  9. Have you planted nasturtium among the plants that get squash bugs? It's supposed to help repel those nasty bugs, but I wondered if it actually works.

  10. 9/6 – 8:31pst — FAKE FB PAGE IS STILL POSTING – keep posting Fake page comments everyone. I added this little message I re-wrote, hope you get a chuckle out of it. If you've seen the movie Taken, you'll recognize jest of it. Of course, if Tipper wants me to remove it, I will, but thought it was funny. 🙂 "We don’t know who you are and we don’t know why you are doing this. But those of us who follow Tipper & Matt have a certain set of skills. We will continue posting Fake Page notices on your videos. If you stop impersonating Celebrating Appalachia, that will be the end of it. We will continue to protect CA’s content. (We’re not as aggressive as Bryan Mills (if you know the movie, you know the name. LOL) CA’s followers are pretty passionate about this. 😊 "

  11. I’m sure you are aware, but there is a second page they have created. Many of us are reporting that one as well.

  12. I reported the page and left a review. It is sad that people do this so often. I just loved your garden tour. Have a great weekend. God bless!

  13. Did you know you can eat dahlia tubers?! There are some seed companies that sell the tubers of the best tasting varieties. You get the gorgeous flowers for cutting and a root vegetable to boot!

  14. Butter beans: In my experience, I get about a gallon and a half dried beans off 20ft row trellised. I leave them up until frost. Sometimes I cover them with a big heavy tarp because they’ll keep producing past frost if you protect them. My variety looks a lot like yours. But I think the bush varieties are easier and quicker. I’ve wanted to try a white type as I’ve heard they’re easier to digest.

  15. I've reported the page. I also sent them a message that we all know they are a fake. You work so hard at this. I'm so sorry Tipper.

  16. Precious Tipper! I discovered your Chanel a few years ago. I like and subscribe however this is my first time commenting. I was born and raised in a small town by the river in Southern Ohio (Appalachian foothills) and now live in a small town near the ocean in Southern California. I watch your videos whenever I’m feeling nostalgic. Your soothing voice, familiar accent and way of life takes me back in time. Two years ago when I was undergoing aggressive treatment for breast cancer and missing my mom and grandparents (all departed) your videos brought me extra comfort (I prescribed myself a daily dose 😊). I made it through and am now in full remission 🙏! So thank you and your family for inadvertently being a part of my healing. I am so sorry about the imposter FB page. I just submitted an alert to FB and also left a negative review and fraud alert comment on the imposter’s page. Hopefully FB will take action and shut them down soon. In the meantime, please keep inviting us into your kitchen and garden and sharing your sweet spirit and beautiful light (along with the down home recipes). Much love and gratitude ❤ 🙏
