I’ve been promising a BIG project and here it is! No, it wasn’t finishing glazing the greenhouse on the plot 👀 – we’re in the home garden and I’ve been keeping a bit of a dirty secret… the back of the garden has become an absolute jungle! I can barely get to the compost heap it is so overgrown and it’s a total dumping ground for pots, flimsies, staging, and who knows what else! So I’m giving myself 7 days to blitz it (with a little help!). See how I get on… can I finish it within 7 days??

Plus we pop to the allotment for a little late summer harvest and check on the tomatoes and what’s growing in the home veg patch.

  1. I absolutely loved this video! I do love a project!!! I can appreciate all the work and time it took behind the video to get all that done. Welldone Kerry!!! 🌱😊 Danny

  2. Great job you've done well my wood chipper was about £170 it was definitely worth it goes down so small and everything is really good to compost when I cut bushes I put a metre buy 6 m wide tarpaulin down and then Roll It All and tip it out where I want it makes it much quick❤

  3. Totally agree, job well done! It looks great, even if it will be a staging area, which one needs anyway. I took a break in the middle and went out with my snips. Not overgrown here, but getting yellow, brown and mouldy. We've got a few nice days coming and it's the last chance for some of my plants, will cut down and clear pots and planters for the season. Clean and organise empty pots and tools. Such a nice feeling when there is some order to the madness.

  4. Oh wow, Kerry, you had been busy 😍 Love a good clean-up project! Great that you had help from your mum and Dorie 😊 🥰 A project a week? as you're on your holidays, still? Greenhouse or another build, perhaps? 😂😂

  5. Loved this video Kerry – you’ve even inspired me to do some tidying up (although I’m sure it will wear off!) Well done and enjoy your secret garden!

  6. Wow your back yard is huge Kerry. So very kind of you to leave the fruits for the critters 🤭🤭. Gas hedge trimmer for Christmas wish list 🤔 and a wood chipper. Excellent job and you can certainly see a difference 👍👍, Ali 🌞🇨🇦

  7. What you need to do is open up the entire front of the old shed, make it a 3 sided seating area and a small fire pit perhaps and sit and enjoy the view from back to front 👍

  8. Thanks for a great video, love to see more untidy parts as most people have them. Well done with all your hard work, you are an inspiration. I don’t know how you do your allotment as well as your big home garden and work, incredible. Your home garden is beautiful and productive, amazing.
Mine is now being rapidly consumed by brambles! Thanks

  9. Great job! No garden is ever perfect. It’s funny how you never showed the back part of the yard so I didn’t know it even existed! 😅

  10. Nice clean up and the bunnies thank you for their new home😂.
Your apple trees look great, mine, not so much. I gave them a talking to today—sink or swim! My sister-in-law has an apple blooming 😮 it’s fall! She won’t get apples next year. This weather…I don’t know. In northern Illinois a gal has a flowering shrub blooming and said it’s suppose to do that in spring and it will not bloom next year.
Corn—I’ve had the best crop this year because I remembered how dad planted 3 seeds to a hole. Plenty of pollen to go around. They need a lot of fertilizer and water. I did 2 rows 2’ apart and holes 17” apart.
Tomatoes we won’t talk about—way too much rain spring to summer.
    Thanks for the video!

  11. Great results Kerry, Always pleased to see what's happening with the home garden, I can relate to it as I don't have an allotment plot. All my growing is done in one spot. Your mum got you sorted, glad she got the Ivy cut back it needed it, it will quickly devour the space if left unchecked. he end result looks much improved bravo. Thanks for sharing. 🐞🌻🌱

  12. Loved the video as always.

Such a joy to listen to and watch.

I can’t believe how long your garden actually is!!!

Always helps to have helping hands 🙌 you both did a great job on your long anticipated project…. It’s definitely a put on the back burner kinda job. It’s DONE NOW 😊

    And the beer was deserved!!

Great intro you have got the knack of this editing malarkey. 😂 and the planning 😂

    All round fabulous video!! 🤗😃😊☺️🤩

  13. WoW! Well done Karry. The secret garden look amazing. It has become a most wonderful apace to sit and relax and take some time out away from the world. You must be so chuffed. Happy gardening 🙂

  14. I’m tired just watching you doing all this work, that was a major project. And with all the camera work, it means it takes a lot more time to be able to capture the steps taken.

You would not believe it is the same space, and the table and chairs make the area look so bougie.

I absolutely love your home garden, it feels like it goes on for ever with different zones/areas, stunning 🥰

  15. Wow what a fabulous transformation Kerry ❤ Well done 👏👏👏
Your seating area looks fab now. Lovely bit of walling and when those tubs are at the allotment then it'll look even better.
That trombonchino looks fab, what does it taste like? Some nice plants are growing too and nice to keep harvesting.
    Have a great weekend ❤️ x
