  1. Whenever I stumble upon a cultivar that is not not to be found on the mrmaple homepage, I have to assume it is somewhat rare. Do you know anything about Kokubunji nishiki? I found one at esveld and bought it. Also absolutely thrilled to say that I found Allen's Gold there!

  2. Please help me. I'm going to abbrev. to make this quicker.
At beginning of early spring I bought 3 pre bonsai elms and 3 pre bonsai Dwarf JM.
All trees did Great til it started really heating up and first the Maples went. I mean from crazy new growth Allll over the trees to dead in a couple weeks. It wasn't overwatering. I live in central Louisiana. It was like the soil was refusing to let go of the moisture. And this was in a very good tried and true bonsai soil.
Now all of the JM's are dead from root rot and I'm down to my last elm. Please help.
Quick question… if a water catchment basin turns green w algae, how harmful can watering your tree w that water be??
