I'm going to plant in Oct here in Florida, lettuce, beets, broccoli, cabbage , and carrots all in grow bag's. Can't wait. I have 3 100 gallon grow bag's and a lot of smaller one's.

Hi Kim, 100F in the shade again today, south of Sylacauga, AL in the country. The area is still considered as a part Sylacauga, but well outside of the city limits. I live closer to Weogufka, AL, pop 256. Weogufka is also considred as a part of Sylacauga. Yeah, I live way out in the boonies. It looks like I'll get a break from the heat starting Tuesday. Yeah! The trend looks like it may be okay for planting some veggies. I'll be planting at the outside edge of the temperature range—the mid 80s, so I'll overseed a bit to guarantee germination, I'll start with Swiss Chard, Brunswich Cabbage, brocolli, cauliflower, Pak Choi, Yellow Heart Winter Choy, turnips, tatsoi, komatsuna, and maybe Nappa Cabbage. I'll have to wait a bit, hopefully only a week or two, to sow seeds for carrots, beets, and radish. It will be October before it is cool enough to get started with garlic and sow seeds for parsnips. I probably won't plant lettuce. It can take a frost, but not a hard freeze. If I were to plant it, I'd have to wait two more weeks before the weather cools enough. The first freeze hits mid November. I may get a few leaves before it does, but that is about it. Everything else is more resiliant, and can stand drops in temperature down into the low 20s, or colder. I have a lot of bare dirt, so can't wait to get my fall gaden going.

Gracias! I like the picture within the picture editing. I finally can do carrots from seed! I like the wood plank method but I can see the shade cloth as well! Radish, SO underrated. Beets are a great liver detox. Love to see MAC! Happy Labor Day!
