Hi all! I’m new to greenhouses and would love some tips on how I could optimize my greenhouse to make my plants super happy. I’ve done mild research but I’m having a hard time finding specific tips for my kind of setup. I have two fans running on both ends, and a humidifier running at the bottom. I’m able to maintain about 55-60 humidity, but I’m sure this could be better. What are some things I can do to really make the best out of this setup? Thank you in advance!

You probably want some kind of tray on the floor under the shelf. If you start getting condensation on the walls it will drip down the sides and straight onto your floor. The humidity seems low for having a humidifier running, but tucking the walls under the shelf might help. Take all the plants out every few months and spray down the walls and shelves with 70% isopropyl alcohol (or 10% bleach solution for a budget option) to keep mold and fungus spores at bay. These things can get funky quickly with all the humidity.

I have this same setup as you but my bottom shelf has a shelf liner to keep dirt out and maintain healthy humidity levels. I purchased my shelf liner from COSTCO. The full back wall of my greenhouse and top of greenhouse is lined with “6 Mil Mylar Film Roll, 4 ft. x 25 ft. Diamond Film Foil Roll, Heavy-Duty Reflective Film for Grow Tent” I purchase from AMAZON. This will help keep light in the tent. I have two 120mm fans on bottom shelf pushing air up from shelf liner for fresh air, and two 120mm fans pushing air down from top shelf for air circulation. I did have two 80mm fans up top but changed to 120mm. I have two hygrometers one on top plant shelf and one on middle plant shelf, probably overkill but ok. My humidifier is in the middle of bottom shelf surrounded by both of my fans. My lights are T-5 grow lights on a pulley system so I can adjust light height as plants grow or I start new babies. My humidity is set at 70 and hovers around 72, hence the shelf liner in bottom shelf is working. One thing I can say about your setup is it makes no sense that your greenhouse curtain is dragging the floor. This will attract outside dirt and dust or pet hair or human hair invited inside your greenhouse. Dirt will leach inside. Okay enough writing for me, apologies for being long-winded!
