Hi, I’m Kalem, and this channel features all sorts of unusual and exotic fruiting plants with tips of how to successfully grow them. I’m interested in all things gardening and love growing my own food and all types of edible plants.
I live on a 2 acre piece of land in New Zealand where we are turning a grass paddock into and abundant, edible paradise and food forest! So come along on this journey with me as I experiment with growing, and try to push the limits of what I can grow. I’ll share with you my successes and failures so hopefully you’ll learn from them and have a go yourself! Come learn with me and Subscribe to join this awesome community 🙂

  1. I used them to make a teepee once. They looked sooo good until a storm came through and snapped em all. 🙁

  2. Yeah cool. Knew already. A uncle of mine had grew them when I was A teen. He grew garden of them. Around 16 feet of land for them.

  3. I do something similar with all the horseweed in my yard. I let it grow to 3 ft then pull it and leave it to rapidly dry and harden in the sun, then I got a bunch of garden sticks for whatever I need!

  4. I love it! I have a field i’m planting sunflowers in & now I can dry the stalks out & use them as grow poles for my tropicals! Thank you & happy growing 🌼🌸🌻

  5. Thanks, that's good to know, I have some of those growing in the alley behind the property my house sets on.

  6. This is definitely nice if you have access to land but I heard Bill Gates owns most of that so nice sunflowers mate

  7. Хах) всë детство это были мои мечи и посохи 😀 Я был Донателло из черепашек ниндзя с самой мощной палкой)
