FIL got me this for my birthday. Help me not kill it.
I’m a houseplant girlie but I cannot keep succulents and cacti happy. I know this is cactus adjacent but help, please! It’s labeled a Euphorbia Mermaid Yellow and I can’t find much about it. I’d appreciate any tips.
Ok so this is a really cool mutant. It’s created and veriegated. So it’s gonna grow really really slowly and have incredibly weak roots on its own. That’s why it’s grafted. That columnar euphorbia is being used as a rootstock for the little mutant to help it survive.
All you gotta do is keep the rootstock happy and the little crest will take care of itself.
The rootstock looks like euphorbia ingens or amak. Look at care for those and you should be good.
Fast draining soil. Mostly inorganic. Warer when 100% dry. In the summer time pot should be drying out weekly, in winter time pot should be left dry for longer.
