Hey all, I’ve had this euphorbia trigona for about a year and a half now. Got it at a big box store and it was potted in what looked like straight up peat moss. I repotted it into a very gritty mix a few months back and I water it once a week, sometimes I let it go without water for a bit longer. I’m in zone 8b and it’s been over 100°F in my area so I figured a weekly watering would be enough but now it’s losing leaves and I’m not so sure. Am I underwatering it, or is there something else going on?

This should be a by-product of the recent heat wave. Watering once a week is fine.
I have the euphorbia trigona ruby. I keep it inside, and I have found it is a thirsty bitch. If I let it get too dry, it drops leaves. I have read here I believe that they drop their leaves seasonally, but I find that if I keep it watered as it likes the leaves don’t drop. That being said, you do need to be careful of root rot. I let mine dry out completely, and then water as soon as it is dry. I soak it until water runs out the bottom. I would think being outside in such high heat that it would need a little more water than it is getting, especially in a terra cotta pot.
