  1. I think we're all in the same boat again Ivan, last year wasn't any better. One of my cucumber plants the leaves are wilting & looking sad, curling down too yet the cucumbers are still growing, will the cucumbers still be ok, first time growing them, any recommendations Ivan, many thanks, don't want to be eating them if I shouldn't be lol. Thanks for the update Ivan…

  2. Just rejigged my canes, and I’ve got black fly a lot, cut leaves off, then watched your video 👍

  3. Have 3 outside container tomatoes in 10” buckets , 2 x Alicante and 1 x Gardeners Delight all 3 have reached approx 4ft in height including the 10 inch pot, plenty of flowers some of which have set and producing trusses of tomatoes.
I also have 2 Tumbling Tom tomatoes in a hanging basket having seen them on your channel, they developed lots of flowers none which set, they have now more than doubled in size with lots more flowers but again none have set so far. Watered regularly and fed weekly same as the others.

  4. Everything as you say is late coming on this year very disappointing but hay ho we carry on in hope , there is always next season ,all the best Iven. Tim 😊

  5. I think its a bad year for Toms Ivan, mine are the same. The leaves look like Josephs coat of many colours!! Its the first year i have grown them in pots in the greenhouse instead of growbags. Might go back to the bags next year. Cheers.

  6. My tomatoes are in the greenhouse this year because I grew some outside last year and they didn't do very well. However, the leaves are yellowing and not many trusses. They get weekly feed. Not enough sunshine!

  7. Wicked pruning that, plants need to photosynthesis through there leaves and produce sugars for the fruit, hope they do well!!

  8. Well Ivan, up here in north scotland it has been a challenge this year so far, all the old faithfulls are doing fine, but exotics like toms aubergines etc. are not doing well, even in poly hoop beds.
I have never harvested an aubergene here in many years of trying. Same with peppers, they will not play. A row of haggis is doing well!!!!
Off to cook some fresh chips. I have a lot of spuds, happy to give away to those that need my surplus localy. We are all in it together.
If things do not change, they will stay the same……

  9. Thanks Ivan, first time grower so very useful, yellow leaves on my plants too so will give them a trim. Got 2 1/2lb from another potato pot of Rocket, some tiny spuds had what looked like a little tail, if I put back into pots will they regrow into another potato plant?

  10. Hi had one of them small round courgettes on my plant.the flower seemed to last for ages and when it touched it the part where the flower was was mushy.was gutted as i was really pleased I had one growing as this summer has been crappy for growing stuff,so I took it off.have you any idea what could cause it, it's indoors in my falling to bits conservatory.got flowers on it and the other one i took indoors due to the awful weather.spent a lot of time looking after them, sort of putting me off growing vegetables after this. Xx
