#Tuesday’s #tree of the #day : #Magnolia insignis : formerly Manglietia or commonly named – #red #lotus tree. This is a fabulously sized #specimen @exburygardens. A #rare #evergreen, it can lose its top leaves where it catches the prevailing south-westerly winds off the #river. The #flowers come in #waves throughout the early #summer – and boy what spectacular flowers they are!
