Attempting to create some new life from a saved corn plant…I ended up with a few green stalks with leaves as well as an alive woody stalk that I cut into 3 pieces and sealed the tops (see pics)
I have the green stems rooting in water (slowly). I plan to put in soil once they have sufficient roots but I am wondering if/when I should cut the tops off? I assume if I do they will each sprout 2-3 more stalks around the top?
My bigger question is about the best method to grow the woody sections I cut/sealed? Water? Soil? Other medium? I know it's a long process for them to root but if anyone has propped them before I'm looking for the best method
