#Tuesday’s #tree of the day : Tilia tomentosa : the #Silver #Lime. Even on this relatively juvenile tree you can see many of the characteristic traits of this #plant. The neatly shaped growth habit & the clearly identifiable #white-coloured woolly down (or tomentum) in the underside of the leaves. A #European native it is a stunning & striking tree, particularly when it catches the wind & shimmers in the breeze as seen here.
