Alocasia Polly report: after 2 months.
–
Leaf turnover: 4 *new* leaves emerged, including this big and somewhat deformed one (but still loveable), 1 small older leaf died.
–
2️⃣ Flower!
–
3️⃣ Light situation: sun shines directly on the plant for about an hour every morning. The rest of the day gets indirect light ranging from 200 foot-candles up to 500 foot-candles – it gets higher in the afternoon when the sun diffusely reflects off the building right beside us. The day length is approaching 15 hours.
–
Watering/fertilizing: I’m using the “keep evenly moist” strategy, which is resulting in watering every few days. Because I see lots of active growth (new leaves/flower), I dissolve a 3-1-2 fertilizer into my water every time I water.
–
It’s only been two months so maybe the Alocasia apocalypse is still on the way…
