Found this by a dumpster yesterday. Google Lens isn't giving me a clear ID. I'm assuming it needs to be cut back and that I can prop the cuttings in soil? Advice appreciated, thanks!

Looks like trailing jade. Here’s some info:

I would try to repot & take some cuttings to fill in the bare spots.
