I have to figure out how to gather seeds from this now. The deer eat any that I move away from the house. This is from a batch grown from seed.

It should self seed fairly easily. Mine usually do provided you have a few plants. Finches feeding on the seed heads should also help. No harm in cutting a couple of heads off once they’ve set seed, don’t know if shaking will release the seed but putting them between two sheets of paper inside a cardboard box and dropping a rock or a bang of a hammer should probably do the trick

Ooh mine just self seeded (everywhere) with zero intervention.

Side note – where are you that deer are eating your plants?!!!

Weird but wonderful – great for pollinators and birds can eat the seeds.
