Hi I'm building a swamp cooler for my greenhouse and taking out one of my panels to do so. Initially I thought I had 77×24 space so I bought 2 12" wide 60" tall cooling pads. I actually only have 20" width of space the pads are obviously supposed to go a certain direction (taller rather than wider) so I have a question : Could I cut a 60" cooling pad into 3 20" pads and make a 20"x36" pad or do the pads only work in one direction? Here's a link to the pads I'm using: https://www.ebay.com/itm/384994426968 and here's a link to a similar build of what I'm making https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SE6Boymw8tQ

The pads should be vertical, so that the water can run down them and drip off the bottom. It probably wouldn’t flower over the pad as well if they were sideways and would pool up.
