What’s on my new lithops?

   Well first off, it’s not a lithops. It’s a pleiospilos nelli.

   Second, it looks like it’s in the middle of absorbing the old leaves (the ones with the spots) to feed the new leaves (the ones in the middle). When the leaves are being absorbed they can look quite sickly. I think that’s likely what’s going on but….it might be worth asking in the mesembs subreddit since I cannot say that with certainty.
