I got this a few months ago, he split and is now super tall. I have him under a grow light so hopefully that’ll help.

He’s in a cactus dry soil mix, and I watered a few days ago. Just a tablespoon of water. It drained right through the soil.

I know tall means lack of sunlight. Is a grow light sufficient? Should I put him into a more gravelly mix? The one is a cactus soil that drains super fast.

Sorry for all the questions. And if I sound super inexperienced. I have never grown lithops before.

Thank you!

yes he needs a much grittier mix. Yes the light likely isn’t strong enough. If you’re gonna water it actually water it- that said it doesn’t look super thirsty

Definitely change the soil. It drains right through because it’s been so desiccated that it’s hydrophobic. Lithops don’t need a lot of water, but it’s still a plant and needs water to grow. A mix of 80% inorganic to 20% organic is what I generally see. Also bring it closer to the light source since it’s stretching
