Not now! The lithop is not splitting yet , the pleiospilos is still trying to eat that single old leaf, wait til late summer at least👍 ps- both would be happier in smaller individual pots as needs are differing at diff times

I’ve found that squishing them is a better way than looking at wrinkles in terms of watering, since the wrinkling could be the new leaf growing from under.
Just give it a squeeze, you can actually squeeze pretty hard and if they’re healthy shouldn’t care, they follow the same guidelines as other succulents, if it’s squishy and almost mush like there’s something up, if it’s firm or bounces back to shape you’re good

My only question would be whether you just planted these or have had them for a while. If the latter, probably wait: if the former, a little sip might not go awry.
My understanding with split rocks is that you water those only when the *inside* set of leaves is soft/wrinkly.

I reckon these two want separate pots. The lithops looks thirsty – did it already split this year? See before and after with similar lithops in the picture, you can see dried old leaves from a recent split. I sat them in a bowl of water for 15 minutes in the morning. Like the other redditor said, you shouldn’t water if they are about to split
