please tell us your name and why you are here today uh my name is Lucy Dao I’m a medical student in the University of Nairobi and I’m here together with other medical students and health workers as we protest and advocate for our rights we are demanding that the medical interance to be posted we have students uh who have already graduated they at home like for over one year you find someone has graduated as a doctor but someone is resorting to do domestic work because they haven’t been allocated we need fair fair for doctors there’s no way that we are hearing certain government officials are being increased their salaries yet a health worker hasn’t been paid over a certain duration of time we are basically demanding for our rights considering that health workers are among the people who are the backbone of this country it’s so sad how we are treated as if we are nothing now are you regretting becoming a doctor already not really because the course is greater than what is happening here this is service to humanity and we are not regretting it the thing is just we demand Justice we demand fair treatment because this is a nobble CA this is something that serves humanity and we being treated as if this is I don’t know it’s so sad if you met CSA today what would you tell her I will tell her that I’m really disappointed as someone who is expecting much from that Ministry and uh we need we need literate and competent leaders in those positions who are making these decisions for us yeah and she should do better she do better better yeah
