Hey everyone! My wife bought this lithops today and we were wondering exactly how deep we should plant it. We imagine that it’s this long due to not getting enough light at the store but we are not 100% sure. We are slowly introducing it to sunlight now.
We always plant them in a mix of perlite and granite pebbles and since it’s got a loooong “neck”, we’re wondering whether we should cover most of it with the mix of pebbles or if we should plant it as it is now, with only the roots being covered.

Almost to the lip and give it the most sunny spot you have and water only late summer after it has split and consumed the old leaves

Another vote for deeper. Maybe a finger-width deeper. You could probably fill it with just pebbles.
