How to Make Luffa Soap:
(Makes 6)
Ingredients:
650g Soap Base
20ml Essential Oils of Choice
1/2 tsp Mica Powder (for color of choice)
Dried Flower Petals (optional)
6 Slices of Luffa
Instructions:
Melt the soap base in a double boiler or in the microwave in 30-second increments, stirring between each time, until smooth.
Mix the essential oils and mica powder together to help disperse the color evenly, then add this mixture to the melted soap base.
If using, mix through the dried flower petals.
Place a slice of luffa in each mold.
Pour the soap mixture over the luffa slices, filling each mold.
(Optional) Spritz the top of the soaps with isopropyl alcohol to remove bubbles.
Add more flower petals to the top if you like.
Leave the soaps to set for 2-4 hours.
Once set, remove from molds and store in sealed containers.

want to turn your garden Harvest into this beautiful loofer soap let me show you how once lofers are dried and removed from the skin they make a really good exfoliating sponge and great to put into homemade soaps I’m keeping it Easy by using a soap base and melting it till it’s nice and smooth I’ve got both a clear and a white type next I’m adding some essential oils Lavender in one batch and orange and lemongrass in the other now for a bit of mica powder for color and some dried lavender and dandelion petals from the garden now we can pour the melted soap over the loofer pieces sprinkle a few more of the flowers on top and after a few hours it will harden and then they’ll be ready to go for your next shower or be given away as a thoughtful gift check out my YouTube channel to learn how to grow luers and follow for more

Beautiful
Micapowder on your skin?
I won't do that..
Be careful using micapowder on your skin.
My two warnings about the powder you mention are gone..
whats the purpose of luffa in soap? what does it do?
Is it safe to eat? 😋
Mica is lead just so ya know. I wouldnt put it in anything , mica is the main ore of lead
Mica does NOT contain lead. It is commonly used in soaps, candles and cosmetics and is regarded as safe.
Great educational video of the soap making aspect of luffa… the culinary options are also a possibility.
