Hornworms turn into
Hummingbird moths
So magical
How fun that you have mosquito fish Jess! I unintentionally have mosquito tadpoles in my rain buckets! I love frogs, so it makes me happy! I also use BT when necessary. Peace and Blessings busy lady 🌱🌻🐝
Oh my you just explained me! I tried today, but I realized this Winter I bought ALOT of blankets, throw blankets. But I have grown very fond of those bags that you can stuff with so much and vacuum the air out to compress them. Well they’ve been my lifesaver with my seasonal things, that I still want lol…

You had me excited for you to share that recipe, I watched it the other day, and yum!!
Thankful we don't seem to get hornworms this far north. I can't wait for my garden to really kick into gear, we are still just at the growth stage. Hope the trip went well. Can't wait to hear about you meeting Charles Dowding.
Hey hey neuro-kin! I am autistic and the closet clean out is always a huge struggle for me too. I get super attached to my clothes/things and hate change. Sending you solidarity vibes!
p.s. I get SUPER pumped for garden food, like silly giddy… I am making potato gnocchi from taters I grew tonight and you just inspired me to make a pesto sauce, mmm thanks 🙂
They are the same color and easy to miss. Takes just a day to eat the whole doggone plant!
I love it when you said I’m not going to get lost in here, which was the high tunnel then you said oh there’s a strawberry and you picked it. 😂😂😂😂
Wear white shirts. I believe dark, black shirts attract mosquitos
Jess I just got into the herbs. I read if a person has autoimmune disease not to use echinacea plant. What do you think
Just protein, them bugs. Lol
I too am a gardener that doesn't like bugs. Like scream and run from them type gardener. lol
Jess I love when you get lost in your garden then stop and say ooh a strawberry! Just love that! Thank you for keeping it real and telling me that I can be a gardener.
I would love to see the recipe you use for the hot 🍯 honey.
3 years??? Well, that was a blink. An interesting blink.
I need to clean my closet too. Why did you have to remind me?
I eat an unbelievable amount of garlic and these Florida mosquitos must love it 😂😂😂 since hurricane Ian, the mosquitos are unbearable and insane. I'm going to go down the rabbit hole and set these things up everywhere 😂
🇦🇺Could you put the mosquito fish in the pond with the geese?
My greatest meal is BLT with all fresh fillings on fresh toast!! Yum
Go Vols! GBO! 🍊
We really don’t have mosquitoes up here but then we do not have any humidity. Have not found any horn worms but my tomatoes aren’t producing much of anything yet. I put on some compost to help. Am praying when they survive ok as we are going on vacation for a week at the beach in San Diego. Hoping my garden does ok but next year I will definitely put on a tarp to protect my plants. ❤
Plant basil near your tomato plants , and that will help with the hornworms.
Jess …..on a couch…… what is happening … 😂 ❤❤❤
Jess I just love your enthusiasm. It just keeps me coming back. God bless.
Yes! I have fermented garlic in honey. I love it!
Nothing is any better than coming home to a husband that has started dinner ❤❤❤❤
Nice job Miah
Sausage, potatoes, and onions are such good go-to mral for my family, too 😊
You are so positive and I just love that…. You make me smile and laugh out loud, which is awesome after a hard day at work. One more year and I will retire at 71 and can’t wait to spend everyday in my garden and flower beds. How did you like my beautiful Idaho? Hopefully next time I can meet you!
Those horn worms are so big they need to pay rent!! Lol my newest project is placing soaker hoses throughout my garden & orchard. Big investment, but it takes me 4 hours to water by hand. No one has time for that.
Wow I would give anything to grow eggplant. At this moment cost 8 dollar to buy so I am without eggplant dip. Jess my Mum in in my childhood use to preserve the eggplant dip for winter when was not available in Hungary. See from this recipe if you can alter and preserve your baba….. So first washed the eggplant and big yellow capsicum and put them individualy into alufoil. Put on rack in the oven and bake until soft. Scrape out the flesh and with plastic knife (so does not discolour) chop it into paste. Add grated onion, salt, pepper, vinegar, sugar and enough oil to make a nice creamy paste. Taste should be tangy balanced flavour. Then she put them into jars and did a dry heat canning. I guess you could do hot canning but I am not sure then to add the oil. Maybe leave it out and when you open the jar for eating then add the oil to it. We only had celophane to cover the jars (wet the celophane and cover the jar with rubberband) on the top so if the celophane was sucked in a bit meant it was sealed. She did this summer and in the middle of winter we were able enjoy summer flavour. Hope this gives you an idea to try to preserve yours. We use to put it onto hot toast but since I have moved to Australia I do put on pasta dish as a sauce. Enjoy
Jess, what’s happening with the home build? Or fellow subs if you know.
