Need help with diagnosing problems with this E. ferox. It's slowly growing yellow splotches and then turning yellow.

It hasn't been watered and substrate is dry. Is it the potting media? Fertilizer?

Media: pumice, sand gravel, lava rock, perlite, cinder
Fertilizer: little bit of leaf mould and steamed bonemeal

Location: windowsill that gets morning sunshine.
Weather: very humid and warm, rainy. The plant hasn't gotten any rain though.

It could be showing signs of stress, and maybe signs of fertilizer deficiency.

Put it back in it’s pot, and soil. Those roots are fine, but it needs time to grow new feeder roots. Until it does it will continue to show signs of stress.

Are there any soft/mushy spots on it?

It is growing because I can see new leaves starting to grow out.
