Children’s Botanical Garden announced plans to build a public garden and tourist destination near Anthony, Texas

many years in the works the El Paso Children’s Garden celebrated the public kickoff of its plans for a new Botanical Garden the garden’s mission is to inspire and educate about the beauty of nature Denise Knight the founder of the project says the garden will feature a seven path Labyrinth 32 themed Gardens and 10 event venues Knight says she has been dreaming of this project for the last 25 years and so it’s become even more important in the 25 years that I’ve been thinking about this um a lot of kids in El Paso have never gotten their hands dirty a lot of kids in El Paso have never seen a natural trickle of water not everybody gets to go to camp or go to the ocean or uh you know and so we have I I think if you don’t expose kids to some of these things where they get to fall in love with it um we protect what we love and so it’s really important that they have that strong connection with the natural world around them the program is still in the beginning phase and there’s no time frame um when it will be built and it’s in
