  1. Love the tag-team projects! As far as the beans, yes, I think birds or other creatures enjoyed the first set of seeds. Would you ever drape bird netting or chicken wire over the area until they sprout to help protect the newly planted seeds?

  2. I am in Colorado 6b and lost my beautiful Flame Thrower Redbud to winter frost, as did my neighbor who had her tree for a few years:( This morning the redbud is throwing up shoots from the base so we are thinking of replanting it somewhere else to perform as a shrub. So sad!

  3. Laura that's how I came upon your page with the stump and vine killer. I was like great minds think alike. My first garden purchase. Sorry about the sumac. They were gorgeous.

  4. LOl, Laura swinging and pointing at Aaron with the sumac roots when he wanted to pull out the Forest Pansy Redbud tree. You guys are great! Thanks for showing real life gardening!

  5. I am elbow deep in sumac sap! 😅. So thankful for this video. I have planted Tiger Eye sumac zone 4,thinking I would just keep it in check. Well there is no way I could have ever done that!!! I shoveled out one of them and roots were everywhere!
Long time follower and gardener who appreciates your honesty! Shine On!❤

  6. My seeds planted straight into the ground regularly get eaten or spread around differently (from digging around) than where originally planted 😣

  7. Sad that sumacs spread so much. I like their leaves. But my uncle has the same problem with them. He bought a Garden House and the owner before him planted sumacs.

  8. It’s time to bring in the big machinery to dig up all the Sumac roots before you plant anything else in those areas. I deal with crepe myrtle suckering in Texas and there seems to be no end to trees coming up everywhere. Anyway, best of luck to you! I’m trying out the Sucker Punch too! 😊

  9. Why didn't you just transplant them to the rocky hillside by the little barn? Let them colonize where you don't care to maintain them.

  10. I have used the stump potion, but first I drill holes into the little stump so the potion gets down in there further. Good luck 🤞 getting rid of that pesty sumac!

  11. Aww couldn’t you just trimmed it a shame you have to pull them out. What will you put there now. That other tree I’m with Aaron take it out but I see your point good luck. Another great progress video
