So, posted about this previously. The rootstock arrived all mushy and had to cut into the scion. I’m not sure if I cut enough or if I’m not letting the cutting dry properly, but the variegation is completely reverting (may have been happening before), it’s getting a little softer and then developed a wound on the side. Brown is from cinnamon. Is she a goner?
Separate note, I removed the pup it had just in case it doesn’t survive.

If there was rot when you cut it you likely would have noticed it being brown and mushy at the cut site. If when you made the cut and washed off the latex it looked like a clean fleshy plant then it was likely fine. The contraction while the would heals / corks can be normal. As long as it doesn’t feel mushy then it likely isn’t rotted.
