standing on the side of a road picking up roadkill and then bringing that home and cooking it and I was like are those zenas and I was like how do I know that and I was like not me learning from reasonable revamp MH [Music] thank you for joining us for another episode of reasonable revamp I’m Misha and this is Nathan Weller the beat maker the producer that you’ve heard of just kidding yeah welcome back to reasonable revamp we’re a podcast where we try to revamp our space on a budget and we try to share our lowcost cheap wisdom with others kind of Summer Vibes today oh yeah yeah we’ve been working outside getting a lot of yard work done the front the back planting things living that almost summer life getting a t getting a little bit of glow probably a little sunburnt my white ass not literally my ass but well and we have our own backyards or but our neighbors a lot of interesting things on the show today we have some reasonable updates which include some of the plants that we’ve planted from the greenhouse we’re going to do a reaction segment from extreme cheap skates which my favorite is always fun and then uh towards the end we have some Nifty thrifts to show off so Nifty I got to take these off this well there is no sun in this room you will not get a tan take off those sunglasses I do have a reasonable rants to go on in the backyard in the backyard by our back door so we had some grape Vines growing on I had them all strung up on wires to create a canopy over the back of our house to kind of provide some shade for the plants and shade for us and privacy from the neighbors overlooking us I’ll put a picture it looked really cute it was it’s a cluster of vines that creates shap a cluster of vines The Gardener’s next door came by and butchered everything and now we have a bunch of dead Vines growing across our wires and our little canopy so I’m a little bitter about that it took a lot of time to string up the wires for the vines to grow on and to thread all the vines all around it and their grape Vines so they like were filling in really nice with all the buds but they snipped it but I am bitter about that you just can’t have anything nice unless you build a wall and then have everything on the inside of that Build That Wall Build That Wall Build That Wall yeah when I’m trimming I’m always trying to be aware of that and sometimes I’m afraid oh no what if I cut this little thing and then the whole Vine’s dead yeah and now this actually happened but someone else did it intentionally mhm it I I’m trying to give them the benefit of the doubt they’re trying to do their job thoroughly and cut everything down I get it up next we have some updates for the backyard last week we showed you some layouts that we did for putting in new beds in the backyard and this week we have some pictures with flowers to show you oh and we delivered so I I kind of actually tried on the photos usually you take the photos yeah he’s so good when I look I’m like damn like how did you capture like thanks Dad for teaching me how to take pictures when we maybe we can throw in some movie stills of his dad’s old films and the yeah we’ll include some old movie stills of dad that was all to say that I I actually tried on these photos you probably saw me I I got down there I got the angles I got the autofocus like I tried on these I’m I’m kind of proud of them this is a lot to go through so let’s just try to go through one by I had to do a whole other folder okay pictures you said that was some kind of seed sprouting oh that that was uh some morning glory seeds that I Was preparing to plant you got to soak them for a little bit you can kind of see one popping out of it towards the bottom of the frame there it’s doing something oh these ones are really cute what is it it’s like Dusty Dusty Miller and we got a geranium in the background more miror Golds some more dusty miller oh yeah that says silver dust scroll down oh what silver does I don’t know like the brand this one’s really cute of another marold mhm more mer Golds it’s kind of a merold border around the fire pit we got some Snap Dragons that’s in the planner box outside of the greenhouse is that the white ones yep the white ones and the purpley ones kind of behind them oh this one just says herb oh down there it says something huh looks like lavender yep lavender got a couple lavender plants planted outside of the greenhouse with some other herbs some col Robie course some catnip for Ming cute we uh use Creeping Charlie as a ground cover everyone says it’s a weed but weeds are whatever you decide weeds are so uh like I have Creeping Charlie kind of along the front of our house in a planter bed kind of just by itself we got it in the back as ground cover smells great cute little flowers really dense looks great and it’s free easy to root yeah it’s called a weed but I think it’s really pretty for it to be a weed but I always think that like dandelion for example got some zenas uh this one’s in the greenhouse just to have some color in there it was kind of funny for the zenas when we were in there I looked at them and they looked familiar and I was like are those zenas and I was like how do I know that and I was like not me learning from reasonable revamp the only reason I remembered was because from editing our video like I’m I’m learning if you didn’t see our last episode we went through our top five favorite flowers Claus as you said and I’m just learning that one too so pretty yep fine I can’t believe these are all growing in our yard right now this is the one you mentioned earlier y nap dragons I think I can actually probably remember that that’s a cool name and those bloom all summer long until fall oh I love this hanging basket you did yeah I don’t know the name of those flowers on there but they look cute whatever they are oh then one last thing we don’t know the name but this this just kind of popped up and it’s really pretty little this Bud yeah it’s a perennial but I can’t remember what the name of it is how pretty are those those are all just in our backyard when we walk around our backyard it’s just boom boom boom and this is just the beginning they’re all going to get bigger and bigger and we’re going to keep you updated probably every week with our backyard all right we got to move on cuz we’re running out of time and we still have some extreme cheap skate reactions and sometimes those for me I go off on the extreme cheap skate reactions so all right let’s move on to those all this one it says throughout the year I take things from my family then they think that it’s missing and then on Christmas I give it back to them as a gift D that’s okay that’s just thevery but that’s like kind of this is just so I mean I feel like everybody when they’re kids they they’re like oh I need to give a present to Mom or I need to give a present to my brother and then they find like the closest thing to them and then they’re like this would make a great present my mom has never gotten a book before the book that’s in our house that we’ve had for 10 years she’ll be so surprised yeah this one’s dumb like she’s got to be joking I can’t take that one seriously oh I don’t know give it a try yeah give thevery a try one this one’s like gross sorry if you’re eating right now or something tonight we’re serving barbecued rabbit and a toss salad made with flowers that we gathered sounds like a hippie talking but then you see her standing on the side of a road picking up roadkill and then bringing that home and cooking it that’s true with the audio only it just sounds like oh a hunter who’s like yeah the fresh flowers and it’s the road kill apart yeah and I don’t really have a problem with this depending on how fresh the roadkill was like if you saw the car hit it and then you’re like oh you know that’s like super fresh okay go ahead and take it judging from the photo these people live out in the boonies and I don’t know how often cars pass on that road where there are no houses or businesses but it seems like it could be pretty far and few between I question the freshness of the rabbit first of all but you know I don’t know yeah I want to judge like that’s not conventional for our culture but when you think about it it’s like Hunters do that same thing if I’m being unbiased they’re really just being really resourceful and well and if you think about it it’s already dead so if you go hunting you’re specifically setting out to murder something to then eat it but if you’re foraging for it which this lady is looking for in the gutter for food then you’re just taking something that’s dead and utilizing it so it doesn’t go to waste so I think good for her she’s really salvaging and also rabbit tastes good and also rabbits produce like crazy so there’s like food forever good for her all right so the last one that we got going we have someone doing yoga I didn’t know that it looks like they’re like bending over a specialty yoga class can cost about $10 to $20 per class which sounds cheap how old is this I’m not paying for yoga I agree I agree they not paying for yoga my thing is you never heard of YouTube well okay and so this girl is hanging at a park and probably 200 fet away from her around a bush is the group of people doing yoga and she’s kind of hiding behind a bush spying on them looking at their yoga moves and copying them oh thank you by the way thank you so much for doing the description cuz I always forget that it’s a this is a podcast Audio Only so like thank you so much yeah that that’s what’s happening in the photo so she’s sitting there watching these people copying their things so she doesn’t got to really pay any of the money but she gets all the benefits except for maybe hearing them although if they’re yelling she could probably hear them too she’s pretty close I think that’s clever um if you want to go out if there is Yoga in the park I’ve thought about doing this before I may have done it before when there was yoga in the park and I’ve just been watching people I think it’s a good idea you could also just go on YouTube like what I was saying like don’t be creepy find out on YouTube look for it the reason to not do it on YouTube is to have an instructor there guiding you showing you the right things but if you’re spying at the park you’re still not getting that you’re just getting like I don’t know I don’t know it’s not really cuz it’s out in public it’s a public park so she can be out there existing with her eyes social code like be aware of if you’re making others uncomfortable or not like you can’t just sit there and stare at a group like that’s not normal she’s being considerate she’s like 200 feet away and behind a bush that’s true okay she social she could have just been like like 20t away and been like you can’t make me move yeah she knows she’s making people feel weird about it because they paid money for that and she’s hiding because of it convincing me first I want like I judged her now like I guess she’s she at least kept her distance she’s basically just taking like notes and learning the mov like to the Casual person passing by walking they would just assume that there’s a big old group of people doing yoga over there and then there’s a loner lady over by the bushes doing yoga over there that’s funny all right um so this is kind of crazy but since we like had so many flowers to show off and we had such a beautiful backyard that we had to show we’re kind of running low on time what if we pick up the thrifts next time and like maybe end on a high note with a cheap skate reaction sounds good next week we’ll get back to our projects so something to we’ve been focusing on the backyard
