It’s looking like I’ll have to separate them. Any chance I can get it to root without having to graph?

Looks like some of the rootstock might still be intact

I just rooted an abdelkuri cutting, though not cv damask. It wasn’t as hard as folks claim it is depending on your climate. Full perlite with some pummice or other inorganic top dressing to make sure it’s standing up strong.
You can attempt to cut back the rootstock there, let it cork a bit, then root, and see how it goes as a first measure.
