That’s what asians usually do. They freeze them to make them last longer
Douglas😍 Peekaboo!
How about Fire Chief Arborvitae in the pots next to the benches? Love watching you and your family. SO inspiring! I am 57 years old and have just learned how much I absolutely love having beautiful plants and flowers around me. Thank you for everything you do ❤
Do you eat the artichokes? I didn’t know they would bloom like that . Very pretty, but I don’t think mine would last that long! I’d be having them for dinner!!
Gorgeous as always
My GardenAnswer timeline: I’m in Long Island, NY. Zone 7aish. I usually harvest two weeks after you. So now I know my garlic will be ready 7/2 or 7/3. 🙂
Thank you for the small talk about garlic and storage. As a new gardener, I need all the help I can get!
Hi Laura. I finally had a garlic harvest this year after trying three years. But my garlic all have little balls on the top and I have three different types. I noticed none of yours did. What’s the difference?
Douglas…what a dude! Love the self confidence and playfulness 😂❤. His peep show had me chuckling out loud 😂
Do you pinch Lantana? The pots with the maverick geraniums and petunias and vine is definitely my favorite. It is gorgeous.
What happened to bad hair day? Didn’t make the ✂️
Hi Laura. I love those little plants in the gravel on the north side of the hartley. What are they? They must be strong plants to endure the heat of the gravel.
The planters look beautiful by the Hartley. Can you remind me what are the 4 topiary style trees that you under planted with geraniums? They look wonderful!
Wow!! Your beautiful formal looking flowers gardens. ❤❤❤ and then I saw those roses behind your garlic.. 💗💗💗 WOW!!! your an amazing outdoor garden artist….
I’m in Virginia and my garlic was weird too! Small bulbs and early harvest! I ordered my cloves from Filaree.
Leaf blower for the garlic! Put a board down to hold them …. And blow off all that dry soil and debris
Thanks for the garlic tips. I’ve noticed my garlic is getting more yellow and dry looking. May need to pull up sooner than later as Michigan has been very hot the last week.
I met your mom and said hi to Monica at the nursery today. On my way from CA to ID to visit a friend and made an extra stop. Had a really nice chat with your mom. It truly is a family affair.
Oh that adorable Douglas peeking over the front of tha gator.😍😍😍
Do you cut the scapes off the garlic a few weeks before harvest for bigger heads?
Love lantanas we have orange and pink and purple in our front yard. They can handle sun and heat. 😊
The added structure of the pots extends yet softens the strong formality of the Hartley and parterre garden. Lovely as always. Will you plant any experimental varieties such as the new “garLEEK” from Row7 seeds? Would be interesting to see….
Very pretty .Your such a positive person it’s a breath of fresh air just watching all your ideas. Thank you.
I really love mangave plants and the two plantings you did with them today look so nice!
The pots look great around the Hartley!
