[Music] [Music] n [Music] [Music] good morning my darlings from the greenhouse this morning it’s not even the morning it’s gone 2 p.m. today is a mega procrastination day I’m still in my palates outfit which by the way is my favorite palates outfit at the moment I’m head to toe in Valley and I just love um the sleeveless knit on mornings like this when it’s quite warm um but you still need that little cozy layer this is my absolute favorite and the color of these leggings I just absolutely love um but even though this morning’s class was quite a toasty one in the room the sunlight just pours in and it’s like a it’s like a bitum Pilates but uh I’m really procrastinating from getting in the shower which I know is disgusting but I’m not really that sweaty I’m not smelly this is such a gross way to start the Vlog I’m so sorry this is just when I turn the camera on I kind of word vomit at you but I’ve decided because I’ve left it this long I’m going to have at the end of the workday a real pamper evening including my sauna blanket and you have to shower after doing a sauna blanket because you get really sweaty so that’s what I’m going to do this afternoon at 5ish um but I actually are I just watched a ginormous bumblebee going into my fox gloves they are living their best life now that all the blooms are out I’ve come into the greenhouse because I’m heading after a work call that we’ve gotten half an hour I’m heading over to Chloe’s house Chloe my Pilates instructor who I did her class this morning and I’m dropping off a little gift for her it’s actually not a little gift it’s a SAA blanket um and I thought I would take a hand tied bouquet from the garden just as a little thank you for hosting the retreat that em and I went on a couple of weeks ago she’s been down in Cornwall on a family holiday for half term so today’s the first opportunity I’ve had to drop it off so I thought I would bring you with me um the sun is actually trying come out it’s a miracle yesterday was sunny today is super cloudy it’s like we had our we’ve had our two days of British summer but I thought I would share with you just how I pull together a hand tied bouquet with blooms from the garden so first of all I’m going to head out with my secars and gosh it’s bright and get some blooms I’m going to start with big lovely things like panies and roses and then we’ll get some more habous things like salvia and Cat mint and I’ll give you like a 2 minute um hand tied flower display tutorial we have got so many beautiful roses in the garden at the moment including these gorgeous queen of Sweden ones which are probably my favorite and then these really classic old school English roses they make for the most fantastic centerpiece in a bunch of flowers so I’m going to grab one of each I think so a big queen of Sweden a big traditional um and then I’ll probably grab a piie as well as my three ctip pieces and then I might look to the herb garden for some of the foliage but let’s get started with the showstoppers as I like to call them the smell of these fresh cut peonies is absolutely incredible someone left a comment in the last video cuz I mentioned about ants in them saying that the ants are actually there to help um the peie bud open up which I thought was a really good little peie fact I do so wish that I was looking a little bit more glamorous to do this in a nice gardening dress or something but this is reality so I have been out and I’ve picked my blooms first tip is to put your flowers in water straight away because your flowers are sadly there dying every second that they’re not in water so if you can pick up a few of these flower buckets I think I got this one on either blue and wild or one of those kinds of websites um but obviously any big container will do and another tip is to consider odd numbers when you’re doing either a cut flower display or a handai bouquet florists normally use three five 7 n of each item and it just kind of makes it look a little bit more perfected um it’s just a little bit easier on the eye so I’ve got a mixture of as I said my showstoppers and my herbaceous flowers like my Salvia and my Nita cman and then for a little bit of color variety I’ve also got some of this lovely alcha mollus which is this lime green with a slight yellow flower again I did pick everything in quantities of three but you can’t really tell but there we go if you’re going to do a hand tied bouquet I would recommend cutting your string before you get started about 50 cm of gardening twine I’ll leave all of these bits linked down below most of them I’ve got from Amazon My Little gardening scissors from so vital and then I’m just going to put this Tru on the floor by my feet so anything that I pull off the stems of the blooms can be used um can be thrown straight in the TRU so let’s get started with one of the showstoppers this is the beautiful rose and what I’m going to do is start by completely clearing the stem so getting rid of any branches of um leaves so we’ve got a clear stem and this will help to ensure that any of the water goes straight to protecting the flower head as opposed to nourishing the um leaves so it’ll give you a little bit more Longevity if you want to you can sear the ends so put them in boiling water and then in cold water and that can add a little bit longer to your flour display we’re going to do the florist’s twist so what you want to do with your left hand is just rest your flow in there and then as we add add things we’re going to not cling on too hard but add stem by STEM and each stem that we add we’re going to twist round so I’ll show you as we go what you might like to do is prepare all of your stems first so removing any leaves and flowers below the line of the bouquet you can do this with scissors or you can do it by hand I just think it’s really lovely to give someone a bouquet that you’ve prepared at home um even if you just buy single stem from a florist it can also work out so much more affordable than buying a pre-made bouquet and if you do have a garden and you can grow these kinds of things then obviously it works out even more affordable any little bits like this that fall off I might save to put in a posy Faz and also another benefit of doing this is especially at this time of year by cutting these down I’m essentially pruning them so I’m giving them a Chelsea chob because I probably cut these with about 10 cm of growth left in the ground which is exactly what you want to do for a chelsy chop and that will encourage a second flowering later in the summer so it’s a win-win so as I’m preparing these I’m also just putting them into piles in front of me so I’ve got a pile of the cat Min and a pile of the alcha and now a pile of salvia just clearing the stems this is a a slightly different variety of Salia with a slightly Pinker flow really pretty again with the piie just taking off any of these leaves now a rose like this this one has actually got thorns on the stem that would be quite prickly if I held this in my hand and I was twisting around so this one I will actually leave until the very end to add this one in okay so let’s start building so starting with a showstopper I’m going to add in some alchem just positioning it at a slight angle so it’s lying across that first flower I can see this Leaf is below that line so I’m removing that as well and then this is a little bit more effective the next few times you do it but I’m just twisting not holding tightly here just a really loose grip and then again at a slight diagonal so you can see here if I bring you in a bit I’m creating a little bit of a crisscross a bit of a diagonal there twisting adding it on diagonally twisting adding it on diagonally twisting you get the picture diagonal twist diagonal twist you don’t need to worry too much about the positioning just yet just get everything in your hand you can always tweak that but do consider um not putting too many similar things next to each other if you’re impatient like me you can also do the stem clearing while you do the twist and you can see we’re starting to get that twist like you see with um a professional Flores bouquet which this obviously is not so if ever you know perhaps a friend is wanting to do her own wedding flowers you could say I know how to do a Flores twist and you could help her with her bouquet or your own wedding bouquet maybe or perhaps you just want to take a lovely bunch of flowers to a friend’s house as a little host gift um a little bit morbid but you guys all know sadly we lost our wonderful friend and Gardener Jack but Charlie and I take flowers up to where she is in the church um every few days and it’s nice to do a proper little bouquet like this for her I know she would appreciate it so you can see we’re really getting that twist now like you would see in a professional florist and it’s looking really beautiful and wild as we go we can start to raise a few plants up if you want to create more prominence or if anything’s a little bit too tall you can grab its stem like the alcha sometimes gets a bit tall and you can just push it down a little bit okay now we’re reaching the end I’m going to add in my prickly Rose just being very very careful how I grab it now tucking him in slightly twisting and I am really really happy with how this is looking we’ve got got a nice little twist there nothing like a professional would do but not bad for a homegrown version so this is the string that I cut earlier I’m just taking it between my fingers there and doing a little bit of a triple wrap around pulling it nice and tight to bind everything together I like to wrap it around a few times getting tighter as I go it’s really helpful if you’ve got someone to help you here but that’s not always the case don’t be afraid to use your teeth okay now we want to trim the ends I’m going to use my suar this time so they all finish at the same length and there you have your very own homemade hand tied flower bouquet just pushing that string up a little bit higher so you can see that twist detail very subtly in the stems there and that just helps the bouquet to maintain its shape I think that is absolutely gorgeous so what I like to do when I give these as gifts is I will um pop these in a little Jam Jar filled with water so that they survive the journey and are looking as fresh as possible when I give them to my friend okay I’m heading over to Chloe’s to drop off her little gifts my homemade bouquet which just fits perfectly in my car cup holder thanks to the jar a little jar of homemade rubab compt um and her SAA blanket which I’m really hoping she doesn’t have one already but um I know that she will absolutely love it and I I wrote quite an emotional card um because you know when someone just makes such a difference to your life like she he invited me to go and try oh my goodness my car is making funny noises let’s put the windows up so you can actually hear me when we first moved to the cotw worlds it was Chloe that actually invited me to one of her reformer palates classes at Bamford and from that moment on four years ago I’ve just been a huge Pilates lover a huge reformer pilates lover but so much more than just the Pilates side of it she’s so lovely at um as I’ve mentioned so many times before like at the Soho Farmhouse Vlog when she did the Vivo event and the brunch before that she just draws really amazing people together and she’s such an uplifting and wonderful person and I’m just really really grateful for everything that she has done for us since we moved so the welcoming us on her retreat was just the kind of final straw to want to treat her to something lovely so she only lives 10 minutes away so I’m going to drop these these goodies off um and then back to work [Music] good morning my darlings what a great start to the day with a big workout with Lauren getting back into doing my deadlifts I really noticed that my arms and it’s a full body workout but I really noticed that my arms especially lower arms weirdly look so much more toned when I do those so really happy to have them back in my routine again um and then I just made a lovely kitchen Garden omelette we only had blue cheese in the house so it was blue cheese m 2 and rainbow chard really really delicious I have decided very very last minute decision that I’m going to go to B Village today it’s glorious right now but it’s meant to Cloud over a bit later I’m quite on top of my admin and it’s June I think they’re going to have their summer bits also Charlie is kind of hinting that he might be taking me away on a surprise trip for our anniversary so I thought I would just go and see if there’s any nice little summer bits so um yeah I thought I would head to P today I’m going to do my makeup and as I mentioned was it in the last Vlog or the Vlog before I have now officially switched from my BB to my CC which is just that little bit lighter and fresher for summer I am a Stan of this I don’t even know what that means to say you’re a Stan is it that you stand by it I don’t know but the aoran BB is my go-to base it’s got an incredible coverage really buildable both the products have got um ingredients in it which work like skin care but then you get the beautifying effects of makeup it’s kind of half skincare half makeup SPF 20 um it’s it’s called makeup care face cream baby skin effect and I love it I’ve spoken about this a lot but for the summer months when I want something a little tiny bit lighter maybe a weeny bit less coverage then I’m now officially moving on to the CC I when I showed you this in the last Vlog it was like hours into the Vlog I think it was 40 minutes since you may not have seen my um not first impressions cuz obviously I’ve used this before but my re nting of my love for this I actually forgot just how incredible this is if you love a glowing fresh natural makeup look but you want something that your skin is going to really thank you for because it’s actually got skin care within it you want something that’s easy to apply I also moment I’ve got a little bit of redness I may or may not have been trying to attack some of my um blackheads Gloria a little bit of pinkness on my cheeks but this will be the magical touch so as it comes out it’s actually white with little tiny little specks in it I literally put this on my face like it’s a moisturizer it’s a moisturizer that just gives you the most gorgeous glow and then you’ll see now the magic is about to happen as I blend this with my fingers little microencapsulated pigment little thingies will burst open on my skin and give me the most amazing coverage watch this so suddenly it’s turned to the most gorgeous flattering CC cream I use the shade dor which is the same shade that I use in the BB um it’s the perfect color for me right now if I’m a little bit more pale then I will go for the shade CLA if I’m in between to be honest I never really feel the need to mix them but you definitely could you can see just how inst ly that has given my skin the most beautiful light coverage and the fact that you can do it with your fingers you can of course do it with a brush as well but the fact you can do it with your fingers it’s as easy as popping on a moisturizer it’s got SPF 25 broad spectrum I would recommend using a regular SPF as well but it’s nice to have that as a little top up um particularly if for example you want to use this just to pop on your skin before a morning workouts like that early morning sun is not as strong but you do still need a little bit of protection and then you could maybe do like a Mist SPF on top afterwards that coverage is just absolutely incredible especially when you consider that it is a CC cream so if you’re not familiar with aoran they are a multi-award-winning Korean uh skincare and makeup hybrid brand all of their products they are so caring and nourishing for the skin whether it’s the makeup or the actual skin care I love the O Jin sang as a softening lotion their Santella cleansing gel is in my shower always for post-workout um facial cleansing and they really carefully consider the ingredients and their products to ensure that not only are you getting a beautiful finish but you’re getting those long-term skin care benefits too and it’s not just when you’re wearing it that you get the skin benefits um aoran have really looked into specialist herbs and really unusual unique ingredients and beautifully but keeping your skin looking like your skin really natural I don’t feel I don’t feel like I look like I’m wearing makeup right now the only thing that I have popped on my skin is this and yet my skin tone is so much more even um and perfected than before I applied it so huge fan of this definitely my go-to now for the summer months um if I do have a bad skin day then I might reach for this you could also pop this in certain areas and I love the super BBS as my concealers I’ve been using these ever since they were released now these I do use the shade Clare because I want them to be a little bit lighter than my skin for a touch of brightness under the eyes and I’ll just use a little sponge for this ooh the sun has gone behind a cloud also another thing about this is it’s got vitamin E in there so it’s very protective against pollution and free radicals so it’s protecting your skin as well as perfecting it there’s glycerin in here which is hydrating and soothing and there’s even honey in here as well which of course is really soothing and nourishing for the skin as they really have a thought of everything I’m going to fill in my eyebrows maybe that is the sunshine for the day gone now I do love a sunny morning it just feels so good doing my workout when it’s sunny in the gym with views over the fields it’s really quite gorgeous um and also you’ll see just how long lasting this CC cream is it’s perfect for a full day at the house when I just want to be perfected and glowing but not looking like I’ve got loads of makeup on how cute is this by the way this is a sweet little robe I got this from Laura Ashley at next it’s got the really sweet little sculp detail there it’s like a 12 dis um pattern little bow absolutely love it I’ll leave this link down below as well um but yeah just to finish on these you know I’ve been talking about them forever huge huge fan um this is what I would most highly recommend for summer if you are looking for do like to get here when it opens but um with palates this morning that just was not possible so we shall see I don’t mind shopping on my own because um I can really be quite targeted and just zip around not have to dilly dally around so it’s going to be quite a productive session I think so very much looking forward to it doesn’t look too busy it looks pretty calm um so here we go I’m excited to see what they’ve got in store in June summer bits let’s let’s go and see well this is quite a surprise actually it’s really calm and quiet we haven’t got to the main kind of busy section yet there might be a queue Dior already I’m sure um but yeah not too bad okay made it to my favorite food spot I honestly would come to V purely for OT langi also I did not realize there was a suzan here is that new or have I just been totally blinkered either way let’s go and get something to snuffle so this is the breakfast menu they’ve got juices they’ve got um teas pastries buttermilk pancakes shakshuka however I seem to be having bad luck with timings lately like when we went to Broadway we just missed lunch um but these are served until 11:30 it’s currently 11:35 darn it I would have had the shakshuka that sounds amazing but just going to have a little wand around grab something quick to nibble on uh somewhere do a bit of shopping and then I’ll head back here for lunch and I need to smaller size I always love the outerwear at Vista this is really cute the floral pattern like little violas in watercolor really really sweet they are very fun lovely Beach coverups it’s nice material really beautiful gorgeous spring summer color scheme going on here I always find this overhead lighting really awful um but my goodness the quality of this is stunning it is so nice and lightweight really soft I think it’s a wool um just such a nice thing to pop over your shoulders during the summer months when you’ve got a little bit of coolness to the air it’s kind of like a spring shacket really nice loose fit on the shoulders I like this not lined as well really beautifully made um but an eye watering price tag still crazy I actually can’t believe the price tags on these capes and coats it is eye watering um tried it on anyway this one’s got nice leather detail in the pockets leather trim down there it’s a little bit more loose fitting Cape like I guess the silhouette being so loose is a little bit similar to my Dior coat um but yeah I have already picked up my suan jacket so I think that’s the one for today obviously very hard to tell cuz I got the dress on um but I love these they got a really nice thick elasticated waist band they feel like the perfect at home relaxing or traveling trousers I love that they’re wide leg and they’ve got the seam going down the middle really like them with trainers um but again they’re so expensive for ,000 okay I’m just Sheltering from the rain I bought my Broly but I left it in the car that was very silly so I’ve just been into Dior they’re very strict on filming in there the second you get your phone out um you’re probably going to get told off I did see some beautiful things in there so I’ll pop some of my phone clips that I very quickly managed to get on the screen here highlights for me this time they had a little pink um water bottle which if you just were you know in love with the brand and you just wanted a little something it was over100 for a water bottle but um you know as a really special gift or treat a great way of being sustainable as well you know if you’re going to buy 100 single use water bottles then you might as well Buy buy a Dior one instead um you’d soon make up the money for it they also had little baton ball like beach games they had these wooden weights like 1 kgr actually felt like more than 1 kgr I’d say there were probably two but it had the number one on it Pelon weights bar weights very bougie version that would be a really fun gift for someone that loved doing bar workouts they had the Dior yoga mat which is gorgeous but that was um I think £450 they had some really cute little dresses some little broer shorts and then I tried really hard to get a clip at the end and I was so close to treating myself but unfortunately they didn’t have my size they had a really nice selection of belts in there today including this white leather belt with a CD logo at the front and it had all pearls around the back it was half price but still £700 Dior is a very expensive Boutique and to be honest if they’d have had my size I would have been exceptionally tempted because it really was so pretty but that price not my size it wasn’t meant to be um but again really really good in there they are so strict so I can barely show you anything but the last two times I’ve been in the Dior here I’ve been really impressed they got a great section of bags clothing so yeah definitely worth a visit I did have to queue for like 15 minutes to get in but that is because of the time of day I know you’ve just seen Clips on the screen but they can’t stop me from showing you on the outside so there’s the little baton ball okay you really can’t see it um and the water bottle really cute they’ve got lots of cushions the yoga mats theyve got lots of Home bits now you really can’t see so reflection but a very good season for Dior okay up next is Mone I always like to come in here because they don’t change their Styles very often so even though it’s old season stuff it still looks very current so if you’re looking for some really bright and fabulous Beach bits everything here is around 50% off so really good prices so I have to say I’ve tried a few Mason suus on in the past and I’ve got one at home and I think they are super flattering got quite a nice cut on the butt as well and then they’ve got these really sweet little shorts which I think are really nice little beach coverups with the elasticated waistband okay this beach cover up 50% off but it’s 370 down from amount of presumptuous comments like oh must be inherited wealth or oh whatever whatever I have just been really enjoying I know you shouldn’t I know that everyone’s like oh don’t reply to nasty comments but when they’re stupid I can’t help but be a bit sassy and reply and just be like you’re an idiot so yeah I’ve been having a bit of fun with that lately but yeah really enjoying Tik Tok cont like wearing things that are any shorter than this this would look so cute with actually it would look really cute with the hit myself in the face with a hanger it would look so cute with um the suan Sparkle yay [Music] well this is a nice surprise the sun has come out and the clouds have cleared after that rainstorm just done my evening skincare routine at halfast 6: in the evening I like to let my skin be clean and nourished while I Potter about for the evening I’ve cleansed with the aoran Santella cleansing gel if you’re looking for a more affordable cleanser that literally has all the think Charlie will really enjoy that it smells amazing just stood here from the Roses the wind has given us some serious confetti it was the morning of our wedding that lovely Jack came and picked a load of these roses that were about to turn and we walked through a confetti throw of rose petals from our own garden and I’ll never forget how amazing they smelt when we were being thrown them over Us by the guests let’s check on my beans beans beans are looking good I had a few left over sweet peas um that hadn’t quite made it into the garden so I just thought I’d stick them in amongst my bean structure and hopefully they will start to climb up the string we shall see they would have gone to waste if I hadn’t stuck them here so any Bloom will be better than nothing sometimes they just need a little bit of encouragement they’re so clever these little coils on top just latch on to string and they then grow themselves up but yeah it doesn’t hurt to give them a little helping hand the first of the raspberries coming through none of them anywhere near ripe just yet but going to have so many this is such a favorite part of the garden of mine and it’s so lovely when the water lies come out they come out when it’s sunny look how beautiful that is gorgeous and these smell so incredible oh my goodness well we’re about to have some dinner and then I’m going to come out here pick a few blooms water the greenhouse and do a little bit of Rose Dead Heading [Music]
