Good Afternoon Kaye – Thanks for the garden update but why did it have to be snakes?
Do you ever regret moving from California to where you are now. I moved to Pennsylvania from New Jersey and really missing NJ
Happy Monday Kaye. We are glad you are all safe!šā£ļø
Bug alert!!!š® š I saw a funny looking bug schlepping down the branch on your jalapeƱo plant! Don't recognize what it could be! Just FYI! LOVE ā¤ļø YOU!
Some sun some water, plants love it. Your raised beds keep the plants from getting flooded. I'm going to try planting Castor beans as a border to see if they slow the deer down. I hear is tastes bad (as well as being really dangerous if you pet or you try eating it). Starting with a few feet of them by the driveway, see what if anything eats it ( I have cameras on the driveway). I suspect it's like Rhubarb, bad to eat the leaves, eat enough you can get really sick or worse) so nothing tries to eat the leaves.
Looking great ! The overwintered, pepper plant is thriving, loving the lower corn, plot as well.. My flour corn is doing great although a huge raccoon got about a third of my ears the other night! š¢ I had to wait in ambush, but I took care of the problem.. , finally after the second night at Valleroyās free buffet ! Although should still have a good harvest..
I'm so proud of you for not being upset about the snake. I knew you would get there!
Awesome looking garden. Let me know when that sweet corn gets ripe – I'll come right over. When do you intend to divulge just how many clones of yourself are helping you out?
Thank you for part 1 of garden tour….I like seeing what youv'e got growing, and always like seeing the kitties. Non poisionous snakes are good to have…of course, I feel the same way about wasps…good to have as long as they are not near me….got chased into my house and repeatedly stung by 2 yellow jackets several years ago….southern yellow jackets do sting repeatedly…very aggressive. Your gardens look great…y'all get a decent amnt of rain. I look forward to part 2. ā¤š±š±š±ā¤š¤ ā¤
Iāve had a momma possum under my deck for years. She doesnāt bother me either. I rarely see herā¦.
Is there a reason why you donāt have raised beds ? It would keep crabgrass out and it so much easier on your back. You donāt need those expensive Vega beds. Just wood.
The Big garden looks amazing.
How fun to watch your old sunflowers videos. When I lived in So Cal, I raised parrots, including Nanday Conures. I can see where wild parrots would be a problem in the garden.
