it’s a bit windy today but still very sunny and warm so we’re setting up another planter and that’s this one a really good size trough that’s made to just slot onto your balcony and then you fix it in place so it can’t move and this is what we’re going to be using it for strawberries hopefully we can get a couple either side get them draping down that balcony these are getting a few flowes on them already so it’s best we get them out these pots get them moved on and see if we can get some homegrown strawberries this year they also come with these little clips that you put on bottom which helps secure it to that balcony that much better and I’ve drilled extra holes in bottom because they only C be two holes in which is not really enough so I’m going to get this filled up and we’ll get those plants put in I’ve just left a bit of a gap you might just be able to see that we don’t want to F them right at top otherwise water’s just going to run off so I’ll level it out we’ll get this set up this one’s already got a little strawberry growing on it they’re not best looking strawberry plants but they were very cheap they’re only a pound of pot so I’m going to put six in this planter cuz the trough has got quite a bit of depth to it as well I’m just making the all using same po we’ll get them in and I’m getting them in at the same level as they came out because if you bury that Crown you’ll kill your strawberry plant so just be aware of that also if you have that Crown to eye it could also dry out so I’m getting him in and I’m trying to get him to lean towards Edge so just in case they’re doing exact same thing with all these plants this one it’s got about three little strawberries that’s already starting so that’s good so just pop them in we’ll firm them down move on to next there’s a few old leaves on here as well but we’ll tidy that up shortly just clip those off make room for New Growth very quick easy job to do on your Monday morning as you can probably tell that wind’s got back up as well so I apologize for any background noise I’ll try and edit some of the but that’s his plan to set up so now we’ll just pop it on that balcony and then we’ll fix those clips underneath and that will ensure that it stays in place well as it is it still feels quite sturdy so that’s the container strawberries all set up they should soon put lots of extra growth on but we’ve not finished with it yet because we’ve got a couple of tomato plants in smaller containers on this balcony and I’ve also got two spare ones so we’re going to get a couple of extra plants put in and then we’ve got the strawberries and the tomatoes all set up up on this Caravan balcony so a couple more of those balcony containers and these ones you fix on with Tire wraps so they’re pretty stable once you’re finished well let’s get them filled once again I’m going to compress that down a little bit as well more compost we can get in these containers the better I’m also going to mix in some fish Blood and Bone top this up with plenty of nutrition I’ll just mix that in a little bit and there the plants we’re putting in tumbling Tom red cherry tomatoes they don’t look much at the moment but the ones you’ve just seen on that balcony I’ve only been in those containers for a week and they started off the same size nice stocky little plants as well so no need to bury these any deeper we’ll just get them in get them on the way that’s pretty much all we need to do with those so let’s get these popped on that bony so we just need to secure those Tire ups and we know that the these pots aren’t going to go anywhere and that’s another two cherry tomato plants on the way so tomatoes and strawberries all together plus those big planters that we’ve recently set up and just one more level to finish off and we’ll also get some of these amazing looking flowers potted on so for Monday morning that’s enough for me so we’ll pop inside get a quick drink and then we’ll be back out very shortly doing more work cuz we want to make this Caravan contain a garden look as good as we possibly can and thank you so much to his latest donator I’ll pop your name on at the end of this video thank you so much for your generosity it’s really appreciate it so still plenty more to do and we’ll crack on all this week and see how much more we can get done and how many more vegetable plants and flowers we can get set up so if you want to see progress of that please hit that subscribe button press that notifications Bell and I’ll see you at next one take care

Looking good Iven, glad you have had some decent weather to carry on planting more for the container garden . Absolutely tipping it down with rain in sunny Bournemouth anyway as always thanks for the video, all the best Tim 😊
Looking good Ivan! I'm currently watching my strawberry patch – got the plants as bare roots earlier in the year, and the first berries are just forming. Your plants were a real bargain, hope you get a nice crop! 🤞😎
Any fertilizer on strawberries?
❤You are truly showing that fruit and veggies can be grown in limited space! Im lucky in that my park home came with a little more outdoor space but my head is buzzing at all your lovely balcony planters! I need to do some shopping! (how did your lovely wife get on with her shift?) x
Your videos are more important on so many levels than you may know. As we age the ability to move around gets more difficult and its important to think ahead to container growing on our decks and patios or just closer to the house for producing quality unadulterated food. Good food is getting so expensive and harder to come by. Your videos demonstrate how much mileage we can get from a small space! I’m sure you miss your greenhouse spaces but you are making the best of it. Kudos to you for moving forward and taking us on your journey during this life change. Blessings to you 🙏🏻 from across the pond 🇺🇸
On the tech side, given your vlogs are going to be mostly outdoors one of those lapel mikes like Plot 37 uses would be a great investment. Don't know what they cost, but I'm sure some help would be available. We all love and admire your positive outlook! 😁
Your caravan looks just great Ivan!
You are an inspiration to us all.
i proper love those balcony planters do you have a link for them i want them everywhere haha
I noticed you didn't add any extra feed to the strawberries, like you normally do. Was this deliberate and if so why? Great job!
and just look at those blue skies and view around you , kinda my dream to have a camper van in ten years time <3 inspiring work
I take off the first flowers then the plant can get bushy. I have got a lot more flowers on since doing that. Just a thought 😊
looking better by the day, keep it up mate! I was thinking are you not allowed to use the grass area outside the caravan? is this like a regulation that they want it just to be plain grass? just seems a shame and I know you could really make good use of that. not that you need it of course, you got a lot there haha
Looks great, feed? Just brought some compost for my cucumbers, to windy today though
I bet you could have a green wall up the side of the van
Hi Ivan…not sure how monetarily feasible it would be…especially you being in the UK, but maybe in time….have you ever heard of or considered a Green Stalk planter or maybe the UK has something similar?…it’s great for small spaces… I’m thinking of growing some strawberries in one…..that is if our weather ever cooperates 🥴
There is no stopping u great stuff
Nice one Ivan, you should get an award when everything is blooming & growing for best caravan garden 😊 can i ask can i grow indoor cucumbers outside …
Ivan you sure are making your container garden more and more marvelous each day 😊 a pleasure to watch your videos. ❤ to you and Mrs Ivan ( Ginny).
Looking really good , it gives me loads of ideas on what to plant in a container. Tfs 🙂
Looking good Ivan 😊
Fingers crossed its going to be a good year for strawberries Ivan, our strawberry beds are already showing potential 🤞Imagine getting up in a morning, stepping out on to your balcony and having fresh strawberries ready to pick for your breakfast 😋 🍓
Those balcony planters are a great idea and they look fab. 😊
Said I wasn’t going to buy veg this year – damn, 2 tomato plants later 😂😂😂 this weather draws you in!
You are going to have the best looking static on site! ❤
I seem to be making a strawberry patch out of volunteers. You're a couple of weeks ahead of us weather-wise, which is weird as I'm in Somerset. Any road, you've got it looking pretty awesome already, looking forward to starting the harvest in a few weeks!
Looking good
Looking amazing, why didn’t I think of putting my hand in a pot to make the shape in the compost, what an easy idea, thank you Ivan.
Sweet cherry pie lvan that's what I did wrong put them in to far think you next one be ok !! ❤🍒😁
I've already been getting a few strawberries. They never make it past the garden before they are eaten. I love the way you use the pots you take the plants out to make the holes to plant them.
I have been watching your channel more recently, and as someone that used to grow veg in containers..and still do to a degree.. due to a having small garden at the time I really appreciate your new way of growing.. it's amazing how much you can grow in containers 🙂 and is that an olive tree behind you? Either way wow what an amazing tree 🙂
Hi Ivan, just wanted to say thank you for your video on picking beetroot which is what made me find your channel in the first place. Last year, me and my family tried pickling beetroot for the first time using your method and we managed to get about three jars. We recently ate the last one after finding it in the cupboard and I couldn't believe how fresh and tasty it was. We will be trying to grow even more this year to pickle so thanks again and keep up the great content.
Thanks Ivan, your container garden looks fantastic and is coming on really well, or should I call it Cadillac Ranch? Take care and all the best. Stevie
Ivan, that balcony is a God send. Your caravan container garden looks better and better.🍓🍓🍓
Looks great 😊
I have so much admiration forf you and Ginny. It must have been such a hard blow losing your house and garden but there's been no moaning you've just got on with and are building a new but totally different life and making a wonderful Job of it. Well done you're an inspiration and congrats to Ginny on her new job 👍👍💜💜
Thanks Ivan, for all the fantastic video's you provide, for all us followers making, grow your own easy. Hope Ginny, likes her new job. Thanks for sharing.
Everything is looking great love the balcony pots I admire how much you have achieved in such a short time and the fact that you had to move and set up your new home we appreciate everything you do to help us in our endeavour to have good container gardens producing food Thankyou
I love your new place.
Love the container Gardening, awesome
Hi Ivan..I plan to buy the raised bed same as you. I want to put cabbages in. Will it be deep enough? Thanks
Loving this can’t wait to see it next month when all the plants are thriving x
Its all looking so good, cant wait to see what more container/plant ideas you still video. Those strawberries are going to look great in that balcony container. Iv been so motivated by your channel. We plan on completely re-design our small patio area using what we already have . l want a nice romantic seating area that has to be on a budget as we are elderly. but still young at heart lol. it will be white , dark green & orange colour scheme , It will have lots of dark green leafy veg/ herb & flower plants in terracotta pots ( already have ) next to my white bench ( again already have. ) Iv got a set of orange seat cushions we found in the loft that iv never used that matches a old 70s orange patio brolly that we do use. lv got lots of orange day lilies we split up last yr, so easy to grow . Im making clutters of jar tea light holders to hang from trellies.. iv ordered globe £4 led lights to drape around the seating area. ts amazing what ideas come when motivated. Keep up the daily video's Ivan, l love to see what you are doing, its motivating so many of us. Happy gardening.
Looks fantastic 👍
My comment as been removed??I only stayed that my grandad grew veg around his mobile home,n yet 2 hours later my daughter couldn't find my comment
..strange…
I smile every time you say, have to add drainage, our pots, inland Canterbury New Zealand, need deep saucers over the summer due to our excessive hot wind.
Thank you Ivan for your advise. What compost/ soil do uou use for your containers? I have some cucumbers seedlings that leaves are turning yellow and thinking that the compost was crap
